Also, am I missing something in companion management? Are they shortcut keys for "tactics" and other orders? I had to keep these faggots all the time at "don't shot" so they don't go into fights with muties/stalkers that aren't even on our way(the "don't shot until attacked" didn't stopped them from that either), and on map changes/game loads there were moments with hostile stalkers/mutants right at our faces and they wouldn't react to that, and you can't really change their behaviour mid-fight via dialogue cus ur shit is on fire.

This particular section is tied to [choose_only_one] found inside the faction_loadouts.ltx. If you remove all the entries from that bracket section, then you cannot select a difficulty, and I want it gone (again) so I can edit the loadouts as I please.

Anyone know what I can remove that will disable it? Removing the entire section from line 664 to 726 will do as I intend... However if you notice there are description strings that are tied to tell you what is in the loadout of X faction which can be set by faction_loadouts.ltx.

I have done this before like I previously mentioned so I know it's possible, I just cannot for the life of me remember what I did.

Thing is, it's all tweaked to work together, so there are a lot of changes I didn't catalogue. Maybe I'll put together a pack tomorrow or something.

Roadside picnic indeed for 1.0d, if I recall, barely anything needed to be changed.
John tweaks is my personal tweaking bullshit.
Desolation is NOT included, all mine does is reduce monster spawn minimums to 0 instead of 1 and lower the max squad size to Desolation levels.
XMOD and WSOAMBK were chunks taken out of those mods that were easy to integrate into 1.0d that I personally liked.
The alt mutie skin is just a rat I reskinned that could use a touch up, but will also replace the stupid pig-faced Flesh from CoM.
Random weapon conditions makes it so weapons dropped by NPCs are have a chance to be in decent (like 45-65) condition, or very rarely in 85 condition.
Emission news is being tested.
PDA Callbacks lets you send out PDA messages and get info from nearby non-hostile squads in the area, that one's all me.
Included in that is a mod I'm working on that lets stalkers brag over the radio if they bag a dangerous mutant - still being worked on.

I'm playing CoM with the latest STCoP update and npc's seem like they cant shoot for shit. I'm talking monolith sneaking up on me from behind and missing me with a full auto burst. Likewise a squad of my heavily armed (pkms, ASvals, saigas) duty companions are getting massacred by a chimera because they're aiming at the ground and everywhere but at the mutant. Obviously the AI aim is borked, anyway I can fix this?

Does ammo get destroyed in anomalies? I died in an anomaly today with azazale mode on and when I went and looted my body (like 10 seconds later because I became a companion of mine) I had a fraction of the ammo I had before I died. Pic related is my corpse. Interesting thing too, that bandit on the news feed talking about stone flowers. A few minutes after this I looted a Clear Sky guy killed by some military and he had 2 stone flowers on him. I wonder if they're related.

Also I had a mission to destroy a "dangerous mutant menace" and it turned out to be one pseudodog.

There really should be a way to pick up on quests you had if you're doing azazale mode and you loot your dead body. It's frustrating to go and die and then your tasks completely disappear.

I think CoC scratched the two big itches that the vast majority of the playerbase wanted:
1) The ability to see all locations at once. Each game was basically a teaser in that regard, with a variety of locations locked out of each other.
2) The ability to play more than just the predefined character you play in each of the 3 others. Sure, CS (and some mods ported to SHOC) had the ability to join factions, but that's different.

Well just in general. I'm pretty sure that shooting an enemy doesn't affect their model at all, but blood can get on the environment. Just no bullet hole decals on character models. If you've played MGSV it does it really well I think. It's also got really good animations for being shot. Pic related in MGSV. You can see splotches of blood on the character model where they were shot.

But yes, In my experience so far of playing CoM the last couple weeks, my survivability in a firefight is most directly tied to the amount of local shrubbery. I would sooner fight a veteran Merc spawn in urban or open terrain than a team of rookie bandits in the swamps.

Levels you'd like to see in a stalker-inspired mod or game ? I know the games aren't build to implement new zones to the map, but who knows. Some ideas I thought about :

- Monument to the soviets : a huge, unfinished concrete tower (much like the Pyongyang hotel), lots of verticality and war between the different floors, Monolith obviously at the top of the tower, shitting grenades in the stairways.

- Dnieper drains : an underground canal with lots of branches and submerged parts, time to get wet, stalker. little light, lots of dark corners and maybe a lab at the end.

- Pripyat suburbs : again an urban level, but with much more small houses, lots of them of little interest, but can make for interesting firefights while advancing towards the center (the Donbass war footages where the army and rebels fight in destroyed houses have an interesting feel to them).

I was, they stop right before you when you stop, you back up while the bite and go to their side then slash or stab. Neither worked. Granted there were 2 of them so I couldnt do it perfectly and had to keep moving but it should have hit at least once. Unless there is no sound or animation for when you hit in which case its bullshit. I can kill boars and those eye walker things, even wargs if there is only one but dogs are too small or something.

Go buy a weapon repair kit of the appropriate caliber from CS or Bar (Sid's prices are expensive). Which one to buy depends on the condition of the gun. There are kits that let you repair from 25% but they're more expensive. Oils and stuff let you repair at 75% condition and higher. Use the repair item and select the weapon you want to repair in the popup menu. Select an additional item to use in the repair and you're done. Repeat the process until you have the gun in the condition you want.
