That's not really how it works. Pure odds will fuck you over each time. You can roll four times and get four SSR, or you can roll a hundred times and not get shit, and then roll a thousand times and still not get shit. Hell I've gotten most of my shit at this point off singles despite that supposedly being the hardest way to do it.

I think I have 8 SSR now, and most of them are off singles. Meanwhile ten rolls fuck me over at least half the time and don't give shit.

You can say "this might happen by statistical averaging..", but luck will make a fool out of you each time. Don't bet on shit that can't really even out, its just pure chance.

That's technically true, but it can't really guarantee you that it will be for the servant you actually want if you only have enough for a couple of rolls. Then again, if you are starting this game after a year and a half you are probably not that interested in Fate or any Servant in particular, and if you started from day one and refuse to spend a dime, you are probably still saving or used all your necessary quartz for the servant you wanted (Which in my case, I wasn't able to roll after almost a thousand quartz later in two different campaigns, but rolled on my alt with 60 quartz).
