I personally disliked writefags because compared to artfags, they seems genuinely more 'untouchable'. With artfags, even now you often see a couple here giving critique to new people; very insightful and helpful things.

Writefags never really got that, they were either ignored or kissed on the arse. There were minor things like Skull getting memed on, but Croc's stupid meltdown, but writefags were generally judged for how well they rolled with the punches. Meanwhile, they never really improved because they never had to. Sure, this isn't entirely writefags' fault, but seeing very little improvement just got tiring over time.

I'm not sure we've met, but I really don't care about exactly what or which character they'd like to write. That's secondary, let people write what they want.

I meant purely on technical levels. Dry writing, show vs. tell, pretentious style, believable dialogue or a coherent plot. Sure, I know it's fanfiction so I'm not going into it with the highest expectations, but I think these should be important stepping stones in bettering a craft.

Personally I've always taken it more as a sign that it wasn't impactful enough to get people to reply. I know most people see it but if they didn't reply then it must not have been interesting enough. Gotta put in more effort next time.
