I thought not. It's not a story the Guardians would tell you. It's an Elinski legend. Aksis was a Priest of the Devil Splicers, so powerful and so wise he could use SIVA to create life... He had such a knowledge of SIVA that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying.
Oh yes, he actually could revive people with SIVA. The dark side of the Golden Age is a pathway to many mysteries some would consider to be left alone and buried.
What happened to him? He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. It's ironic he could save others from death, but not himself.

Let's take a moment to really take in the deep lore and understanding in the Aksis encounter.
The entire room is in the shape of the Destiny symbol (Tricorn). The back, left and right areas make up the "Y" and Aksis' platform is the "0"
If you look at the environment of the area, you can see Fallen technology on the left and Warmind (Human) tech on the right. Aksis being in the middle symbolizes that he is the centerpiece or culmination of Fallen and Human technology being used together.
When you start the Phase 2 fight, Aksis and the structure holding him extends outward from a hole. This is similar to the Archon you fight after being raised by your Ghost, and it's similar to the Archon Rising you can find in the vanilla Cosmodrome when you choose a VIP Patrol mission; both Fallen bosses climb out of a hole in the wall.
If you spell Aksis backwards, you get Siska, which sounds awfully similar to Shiska, one of the first Bungie.net moderators.

from my experience I started vanilla, and did DLC 1 + house of wolves before I finished it. Honestly I did the final mission of vanilla and didn't realize it was the ending, just another cutscene. In the games defense I shouldn't have done it out of order, however at the same time Destiny should've done a better job of showing what was DLC and what wasn't, rather than a small image at the top of the description.

Light level does not matter in normal crucible, but your gear in terms of abilities matter a great deal. For Iron Banner you will be fine around 375-380 minimum, many people play to get better gear and light level does not give that giant of an advantage anymore.

Also the Dreadnought felt suffocating and alien, really atmospheric. The Plaguelands doesn't really have much atmosphere in my opinion. Part of that has to do with how fast you can move through it on your sparrow and part of it is that the more open spaces leave less room for lighting effects, setpieces and scenery to set the mood.
The Dreadnought has a lot of big imposing spaces that may not be playable but they help give you a feeling of scale, of being a tiny human trapped in this terrible alien labyrinth full of unknowable secrets. It felt properly science fantasy.
Plaguelands is more Mad Max and that can be cool but wasn't executed very well. It just wasn't very evocative or interesting.

I got my first ghorn off an easy mode ce, but that ghorn hasn't been relevant for almost 2 years.
