I just found the entire explanation behind Morgana's backstory pretty underwhelming. I'm not saying Ted's was something amazing or anything but at least that got solved halfway through the game instead of leaving it at the very end.

In the contrary I found Teddie's arc incredibly underwhelming, and it felt straight out of left field with its timing and hamfisted in its execution. That's not really comparable at all to how she speaks. She sounds dignified in Japanese, but not pretentious like that, and that particular line doesn't sound that way at all. I would argue that line doesn't capture Haru's style of speaking simply because it sounds incredibly stilted - and it's a bad line because people will stop and notice the stilted nature of it. You can word a line formally without forcing in a stupid metaphor that sounds incredibly out of place and poorly thought out. "I will not obey you any longer!" sounds just as in line with Haru's way of speaking, conveys exactly what it should, but doesn't sound like it was written by a team of Monkeys.

I actually don't think the English typeface looks too bad – by itself. I'd even say that quality-wise, it's about the same as the Japanese one. The problem is that it doesn't fit the game, and it sure doesn't look like something that should be coming out of a comic-book style dialogue bubble.

The problem is that it's emboldened. It's far too thick (and wide) for a regular typeface. The thickness of the text is as thick as the line around the text box, which screws up the hierarchy, and looks incredibly out of place because of it.
As you said, it also doesn't suit the comic book style of the bubbles either, while the Japanese font and the English one in the Japanese version do. They did a good job at picking comic book-esque fonts for the English onomatopoeia, but they totally screwed up the font choice for the main text boxes.
They also really should've picked a more condensed font anyway since space is tight and they've even had to stretch out the width of the objectives to accommodate their font - and they did a really lazy job of it, making them look tacky too.

you can get some decorations but most of them are obtained through outings to specific locations with co-op characters and picking the right dialogue option so it's pretty tough to get many of them
you get a "take your heart" poster on the wall in november, and there are some figures like jack frost and the sheep from catherine you can display above your work bench that you win from a crane game in akiba too

tbqh it's dumb that they don't show the full name in the textboxes in english
especially for names like "ann" or "ryuji" which are pretty short and make the text box look empty
there's also the narrative point of them noticing futaba and soujirou have the same surname, but if it just says "sojiro" nobody will notice that until it's pointed out unless they've been following the game prior or are really really good at remembering names
they've already proved with the NPCs with absurdly long names that they can extend the textbox far further, so accommodating the longer names is within reason
