I mean, real MMR doesn't exist. Matchmaking is based off of your highest hero level/combined hero levels or whatever.
The problem is that this encourages maining ONE hero so you get good at him, and discourages you from trying to learn any other hero because you will be matched against people who are about as experienced as you on their MAIN heroes while you're trying to learn a new one.

Quick question about bots.

A few hours ago I managed to get my Raider to rep level 1. Now I'm seeing mainly lvl 2 bots in Player vs AI games.

Before that, 95% of the time I saw level 1 bots with one level 2 on a rare occasion.

Does this mean that bots are going to get more and more difficult as you gain rep levels? I'd hate to have to face level 2, 3 and higher bots if I happen to pick up an entirely new class (like roach) whom I haven't even got the faintest grasp of the basics of.

I played a lot of Conq but am now being shit on by any and every character that is faster than me and hits harder, since All Block is actually pretty garbage since good players come down to parrys and feints anyway, and All Block is just a feint that costs more stamina and is slower while my attacks hit like noodles and shield bash is dogshit compared to Headbutt and Shoulder Bash

I want to play Raider. I know they are also shit. What is the general strategy as a Raider? Pretty much never in my entire life ever throw a heavy since they are all parry bait, and just utilize my lights and mixup? Both stuns are garbage and no matter what I try to follow them with they get parried so I don't see the use in trying to utilize those since parrying is honestly way too easy in this game.

If you dodge back, it hits you. If you dodge to the side, its heat seeking. If they get you against a wall, you're dead. Even if you try to block it, you can't parry to stop them or dodge.

when an attack is blocked, the attacker and defender need to be consuming different resources so that the trade is apples to oranges instead of just straight up favoring turtling or mashing. Attackers should lose more stamina, but defenders should get sheildstun so that they lose more time, as the attacker will have more options after their entry attack gets blocked. That way people go back and fourth from putting on pressure and receiving it.

When I run into an Orochi that only either does his dodge+hit or guard break, what should I try doing as conqueror?
Am I really forced to guard break him in hopes of throwing him into a wall?
Every standard swing gets dodged by any decent guy and the AoE only catches them rarely.

The game is still brand new, so there's bound to be cheap shit that needs to be balanced. Part of it is getting gud while waiting for new balance fixes, changes, nerfs, buffs, etc.

DSP is not a person you should trust on gaming, or anything. Ever. He likely thought parry was something the game never tells you about but didn't do the tutorial.

Nobushi needs to be far more right, and he description is just a bit off. Hidden stance can be used to cancel Heavy attack whiffs to dodge punishes, Light feinting is useless because her attacks come out so fast anyway it's just unnecessary fluff for her ability pool.

Her real strength comes from the fact that she has can stay properly unpunished if the player knows what they're doing.

Top that off with the fact that if you parry any of her heavy attacks you're not going to get a GB on her.
