Sunwell announced character transfers from atlantiss

>Rules of transfer from atlantiss:

1. Transfers are dedicated for players that are absolutely certain they dont want to continue playing on atlantiss and they are sure they want to come back to wotlk server.

2. Players have only chance to transfer one character from atlantiss to Sunwell

-character level needs to be 80 or above. In turn you will get 1 character with level 80 on sunwell.
-We accept faction transfer
-Player can only transfer character of same class
-If you want to transfer DK character, you need to create level 1 character which will be boosted to 55, then it will be deleted and you will recieve chance to create DK character
-If your nick is already taken you will get name change
-Cant choose another race for your class (within faction)
-DK chain quest will be "probably" not be needed

3. All your characters on atlantiss will be removed upon transfering to sunwell

4. After transfer you will recieve:

- PvE items from level 80 instances normal, OR PvP crafted items for level 78
-Dual spec
-2 professions, maxed one crafting prof, other gathering prof.
-Expert riding (150 flying)
-4x18slot bags

Instructions:

-create acc
-fill in transfer form (see pic)
-Create character similar to transfered char (same race, class) converting from Horde to alliance possible, but not other way around due to how server is balanced currently.
-Wait for transfer, dont level character. Just wait
-After successfull application, login on character
-type .transfer
-NPC will appear DO NOT LOGOUT NOW
-get items from vendor
-enjoy your stay catacuck

Hello. I know you prefer to have bugs submitted on the forums but frankly it takes you guys too long to respond sometimes so I'll PM these to you because their important.

As you see from the attached screenshots combined with proper server commands and talent comparison the threat reducing talents pictured do not actually reduce threat when fully talented. You see 2/3 Shadow Affinity works but 3/3 does not and the same applies to 1/2 Destructive Reach. I have not tested other threat reducing talents such as Spirit Weapons or Frost Channeling but for the sake of consistency I'm assuming it's the same problem.

Just now I couldn't kill a druid despite full on SPAMMING shadowbolt uninterrupted, 25% shadow damage debuff on, 30% crit chance.

Spent a minute doing my PvE rotation on him, didn't even dent his HP or mana pool.

Shadowbolt spam is probably highest DPS achievable in game, all else being equal.

Even if you chain shadowfury, coil and spell lock (which I did), you can not burst down a druid. The act of casting the CC itself cuts your DPS by 50% thanks to the global cooldown, and that DPS is just not enough to down a druid. Then you're out of cooldowns for the next 3 minutes and the druid didn't even feel it.

No class, spec or gear should be able to survive a minute of uninterrupted nuking, that's just bullshit.

And that fight was 100% stacked in my favor as well, druids have extremely few ways to interrupt casts and there was no LOS around.

Now imagine a real encounter where you're constantly being pushed back, counterspelled, kicked, LOS'd, etc.
You'd be lucky to get a single cast off.

What does the class population look like in TBC relative to vanilla? And which classes/specs are high in demand for raiding?

DPS is not important in pvp. Burst and counterplay are. Your first priority is to reduce his ability to heal himself by any means available to you. Your second priority is to deliver large *spikes* of damage while his healing ability is limited somehow.

Druid can't kill you, he has to go oom eventually. When you stand there like an idiot and just spam sb and fear without dispels or drains the druid hardly spends any mana healing and just rolls hots with his cds for fear chain.

Only a warlock, the #1 pvp class in tbc would complain about druids #2dps class.

Resil cap reduces crit chance by 10% and crit damage by 15%. You are not SUPPOSED to be able to burst in BC. That was the point of resil.

A full cast time spell CRIT taking less than 25% of the enemy's health is just laughable.

You know, those spells that take lots of mana, have long cast times, are easy to interrupt, easy to LOS?
The spells that require set up just to be able to cast them?
They're supposed to hit hard. But then you get a cast off, nay, a crit, and it hits like a wet noodle.

I don't know how much experience you have with pvp in this game, but rarely do you ever die from damage alone. Beast cleave was the exception, not the rule

Any xpac other than vanilla and I could solo 3 dps easily as a healer if they just did damage. No worrying about juking, I could just los and cast. This is why, in my opinion, pvp in this game is so much more dimensional than pve. It's more than just knowing your rotation and having awareness

cc/interrupts are what create pressure. tbc druids probably have the best hp/mana efficiency in pvp, so if you're not dispelling or forcing him to move/make decisions, you're not going to kill him. Maybe if you had an MS and were good while he was bad, you could do it

If three players are hitting you, you're supposed to drop dead, period.
It just skews the meta really hard towards certain play styles while negating others.

In particular, it makes playing a healer very, very easy, since there are no huge spikes in damage to react to.
And since there's no burst, the lowest maintenance, highest tick rate healing spells are going to be the best in all situations.
It's just shit game design.
