Yeah, I've been playing it again too and the only parts really alive are 140 GQ hame relic farms and LR/HR gathering hall with a few doing G keys. If you need to do something like shah dalamadur or some event that's not a fatalis then good fucking luck finding anyone to do it. Then when someone does finally join your lonely hall they'll run up to the quest board, see it's not what they need, then leave because it only says "event quest" in the hub search and doesn't say what the quest is.

You have to calculate probability over several times. So it's not a straight multiplier.

It's hard for me to explain, but the idea is that you can approach 100% but never actually reach it, and the more times you do the event to try and get towards 100%, the less each supposed jump is.

4*3% would be 12%, while the actual percentage is calculated by 1 minus .97 (because it's typically easier to find how often something won't happen in situations like this. Which is why we're subtracting it from the one) to the power of however many times you're making the attempt.

So the actual calculation would be 1.0 - .97^4, which rounds down to .11, or 11%

The actual formula for future reference is

1 - N^M, where N is the percentage of it not happening written as a decimal So a 12% chance would have N be 1 - .12, or 88, and M is the number of attempts you're making, i. e. each individual carve.

For the right it would be .75 * (.99 ^4) + .25 * (.99 ^ 5) = .72 + .24 = .96.
