I've been collecting mettaton pics since late 2015 and through all that time i got just over 2k of them.
But yesterday out of curiosity i downloaded 1900 pics of Undyne and - to be honest - I'm not feeling it.
My fish folder is almost the same size the mtt one but somehow i'm not attached to it.

Heh, It's a thing with distance. Asgore is supposed to be a bit further away so if Toriel is so high it makes him look tiny, which TECHNICALLY wouldn't matter that much since Gehrman looks like a withered old man for most of the time but I also don't like Toriels pose and she looks like she's too close to the wheelchair. It was a mistake in my opinion. Had fun with it anyway.

Eh, I can see the flaws in charataker, but honestly, compared to most Chara fanon depictions out there, it's pretty good. I'm following it despite the fact I hate Chara. And the fact that it's probably going to have chasriel which is one of my notps.

The writer knows how to build tension, mystery and conflict. And does darkness without descending into long-winded and often nonsensical angst the way much of the fandom does.

Besides, 'disadvantaged but determined protag faces seemingly impossible circumstances' is probably my favourite narratives. I'm going to keep reading it in hopes Frisk succeeds and is vindicated, even though I recognise the possibility that it won't happen.

Tbh, I can probably guess what their reasonings might be, but I'm still rooting for Frisk and I can't imagine changing my mind on it.

Charataker already did a miracle getting me to like a Chara-centric work, but getting me to root for Chara will take more than a miracle. It would probably require the very underpinnings of reality to change or some shit like that.

It's probably one of the few things that might make me drop Charataker desu, if the narrative ever changes such that it seems that the audience is expected to root for Chara and against Frisk.

To be fair, the Genocide red text is almost surely Chara. It's just that the theory is very inconsistent on what the different styles of narration mean. If we assume Toby isn't a hack, then I think one of the most overlooked parts of Frisk's character is that they can and do talk. There are several parts of the game where characters react to what Frisk says mid-conversation, but we can't hear it because of genre convention. Looking at only the stated narration and not reading between the lines is a surefire way to make Frisk look like a blank slate and not their own character.

No, I'm fine with it, it's just that 'all or nothing' approach I dislike. Either ALL narration belongs to Chara, or none of it, so you're left with either taking away from Chara's perceived personality, or Frisk's. I'm much more okay with shared thoughts and ideas, it's more natural to think of it as an exchange, rather than one-sided.

While this is true, there's technically a very good reason for it. No matter how tough they might be, almost any kid would be very shaken by the death of their sibling, right in front of them. However, as previously described, human souls persist the longest, with even boss monster souls only remaining for a few seconds at best. Therefore, the biggest window of time for a possible mistake was with Chara dying, rather than Asriel.

Though an AU where Asriel dies because Chara goes into momentary shock and fails to grab the soul would be interesting.
