Monte made a post about how reddit's /r/overwatch is filled with potm garbage and effortless easy to consume content.
Half of the people agree, the other half think he's being retarded which isn't really a new thing for him.
I spent the last hour browsing every new post made there. I don't remember the last time i felt this sad about kids.

Around Mei level. Neither OP like S76 or UP like Junkrat.

Genji, Tracer, Pharah, 76 all very solid choices
McCree generally worse than Soldier but can be played alongside him and is of the two the better Pharah answer due to higher burst damage.
Sombra mostly sucks but on 2CP she can build ultimate stupid fast with large health packs and EMP is a great team wipe enabler so she's very niche.
Reaper is almost unplayable. Roadhog oneshots him, and every other DPS can play against him at range, he's particularly bad versus Pharah who is really good right now.

Hanzo, Mei, and Widowmaker are okay picks. Hanzo synergizes with Zarya ult really well and can get really fast picks. Widow is similar, though with less ultimate synergy. Both are high impact low consistency. Mei is fine at exploiting chokes and her ultimate is still dumb but lacks the crazy high damage output.
Torbjorn still okay for holding chokes paired with Symmetra but otherwise pretty weak. Junkrat can be played around by just about every hero and your ult doesn't exist most of the time so he's useless. Bastion is also pretty bad but he'll see play post rework wherein he's pretty good.

Rein is a must pick on every non dive comp. Zarya and Roadhog both very good as well, Roadhog will likely still see play even when his hook goes to 8s cool down. Winston is best used on dive with Zarya, Tracer, and/or Genji. Hard to justify raw but not awful. D.va pretty bad with her armor change but not absolutely unplayable like she has been at some points in the past.

Ana got her grenade nerfed and is still a must pick. Lucio and Zen are kind of interchangeable as the second support but Lucio is preferred most times. Symmetra is strong at holding first choke as she's always been but not past that.

So we've all heard the lightning bolt thing for Winston's M2, but to keep him a short-ranged character how about an Electric Pulse instead?

-same radius as his Barrier Projector
-charge for 4 seconds for maximum damage, have to charge for at least 1 second to use it, uses 33 ammo at max charge
-deals from 40 damage minimum to 100 damage maximum

Winston remains short-ranged but can now deliver a strong initial attack sequence on engaging enemies, Leap landing + Electric Pulse then start normal zapping.

The hard part about Mercy isn't mechanical, it's all about not fucking up your positioning.

Mercy is the easiest hero in the game to punish for being even slightly out of position. Being in the wrong spot for a fraction of a second will get you killed at pretty much any rank, with less room/time to fuck up the higher you get.

I keep meeting like two master Mercy mains in QP who somehow have no problem to keep me alive on nerfed D.Va. Mercy is hard to teach because there are no real "tricks", it's just doing your best to have a picture in your mind of what's going on around you at all times, knowing who to heal first and last, who to sacrifice and who to save, when to ult and when to save it. Tanks have big bodies and they catch most of his bullets so he can slay them in 3-4 shots. DPS are typically smaller and have more mobility abilities to get away from Reaper.
The reason why Reaper sucks as the tank buster is because his match-up versus every DPS is just awful, and Roadhog is (currently) capable of instant killing him. Zarya at high energy is a threat to reaper, Rein can kill Reaper just as fast as Reaper can kill him, and D.va can matrix all the damage. Winston hard loses to Reaper, admittedly but Reaper finds it very difficult to perform his intended role right now.

D.va's ult wasn't always perpetually available, it had a 12(?) second cooldown back in the day, if D.va wanted to stop a Reaper ult she had to commit 100% to doing so. She also wasn't picked much because of this.

A Reinhardt charge would often drop his shield long enough for team-mates to get killed depending on positioning.

A Zarya bubble only blocks 200 damage, that bubble is gone in the first second and your team-mates are supposed to be helping make that push.

Reaper's ult wasn't what made him a tank-buster, the rest of his kit was.
