Respectable damage, the most mobility of any ranged DPS, plenty of utility from different pets, lots of survivability, and if you get injured at work you can play with a fucking cast on and still do well on the tables

In your raiding downtime? Hunt rare pets, or replace your current pets with better modelled versions instead of sitting in your class hall, AH or wherever you tend to dwell

Guy dies in your team? You're an extra battle ress if you're even remotely playing the damn class correctly. If you go BM you even have bloodlust and the capability to heal people

Bored of raiding? Drag yourrself and your chosen fluffer into world PvP, RBGs, Arena, you name it

Might come from the rare pet grind, might come from the "somewhat" easier rotation of the most popular and useful spec, could just come from getting shit for being a hunter given the issues new players have, as stated here: >>168433989

So you'll need another ranged DPS, right? One that's plenty enjoyable, got a good theme to it, doesn't suck as far as damage, and is gonna be invited to those Mythic Pluses and Raids

Elemental Shaman offer less damage unfortunately, but they make up for it with a combination of versatility, meaty visuals, a decent theme in my opinion (One of the best talent builds essentially turns you into a volcano person) and plenty of raid utility to boot

Or perhaps a Balance Druid? Loads of instant cast spells, you're an effective ranged cleave matched and surpassed only by shadow priests and with all the unique features that come with druids, there's no reason not to have a balance druid handy for those days you just can't face hearing another "Fucking hunter, is your pets taunt off?". You can even switch to healing in a pinch since stat priority is more or less the same
