This is simply not true if you're using any decent ENB. Also the Special Edition you love so much prominently uses bloom effect, so I'm not sure how this is a negative of ENB. I'll also add that the bloom in SE is massively overdone and gaudy.

That's not how any of this works.

Anyway what Bethesda should have done is change FormIDs to be a 64-bit ints instead of keeping them 32-bit but they didn't, so the gains of a 64-bit engine are minimal, since we already have ENBoost and the ability to use a native memory allocator with Crash Fixes.

Some of the performance benefits are nice, but for the most part, SSE just looks mediocre at best. If SKSE64 was out and good, and if we got proper ENB for SE, I'd port my mod list over in a heartbeat. But it looks like that's never going to happen, so.

I'm trying to use Ordenador, but without fail when it gets about 1/10 completed, it gives an error about the current texture is now missing. The specific texture changes depending on how many textures I'm trying to optimize, all that's the same is when it crashes.
I'm using MO, I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I don't think so since it looks like it's compressing the first set of textures when it runs before it gives the error.

Having 4gb of vram is pretty important if you want to go crazy with high res texture mods. Any higher is irrelevant if you use Windows 10.

With the 4gb available to me I still occasionally get the black texture issue from vram filling up. Have to press F4 in ENB to fix it.

I use full 2k world textures with 4-8k uncompressed skin textures on every npc though.

I hate feeding so I put the progression back to normal so I am stronger when I don't feed. If the idea of having to feed to maintain power is appealing then leave that setting the way it is.

Beyond that I just tweak the spells and bonuses to my liking, and reduce the # of days it takes to become full power. The biggest thing I recommend is turning off the jump height bonus because at max strength you are literally jumping 10 feet into the air and it looks/feels retarded.

I'm running the game on an R9 390 8gb (4gb accessible) with 16gb of ram. With ENBoost I very rarely get the black texture bug. I would say it occurs maybe once every few days of playing almost all day each day, and then I just tap F4 on the keyboard to make it go away. My reserved memory setting is pretty high too to stop the stuttering I was getting.

I don't think you can even find 8K uncompressed textures on the Nexus, they're all compressed (which is fine.) Only reason I have any is because I make them.

I've found that stuttering occurs the most for me when I set uGridsToLoad too high or when my reserved memory setting in enblocal isn't high enough. Make sure your grid setting is 5 and slowly bump up the reserved memory setting in enblocal until the stuttering stops.

If it's not there then the setting is the default and that isn't the cause of the issue.

To be sure though, if you're using Mod Organizer make sure you check the inis in your MO profiles folder as those are the ones that get used by the game. Also if you aren't using MO you really should start. It will save you a lot of headaches in the future.

I'm not 100% happy with any skin I use (more like 80% with one major thing that bugs me), so I want to learn how to make my own. This lead me to looking up how to edit textures, and now I'm drowning in 3D modelling terminology. I have no experience with 3DCG.
I'm currently using Leyenda Skin and what I'm having problems with is the chin/nose, they don't 'stick out' enough and under certain lighting my characters look like they have no nose or their face and neck is one blob. How do I edit skin textures in general? I sorta get what a normal map is but I can't make one from scratch, what do I do with it? Open it in photoshop and paint in RGB?

Windows 10 limits your available texture memory on DX9 applications like Skyrim to 4 GB. With ENB, it allocates RAM to add to your VRAM to up your overall texture memory in Skyrim. Help
I have XPMSE, All Geared Up, and DSR meshes. Whenever I try to draw my sword with a shield equipped, the shield stays on my back (and yes I made sure it was equipped and not just favorited). My character even reaches to the back with his left hand and all animations play as if I'm holding an invisible shield. I didn't even set shields to be on the back with XPMSE. What am I missing?
