Why is there a huge skill gap between duels and dominion play? I gear railed about 50% of the time in duels, buy every enemy I meet in Dominion seems like they just picked up the game.

Kensei vs Nobushi, what can I do? Haven't really played any vidya in 3 years and my neurons are firing on all cylinders right now. I don't really know if I missed this feeling of intense rage desu.
>If I parry her, I get a light attack at most, GB simply whiffs, the rest is too slow for a followup.

When following nobushi, guard high. Her backup poison attack hits high. Unlike every other Weeb, her side attack dash hits on the opposite side she dodges towards.

Warden is a fantastic character that rewards good fundamentals. Try to guard on the side and bait a top heavy attack. You can top parry with a light attack, and the follow-up will be unblockable. If your first light attack hits, you get a guaranteed hit on the second, provided they're both side attacks.

Your top attack heavy is too slow to hit an opponent after a guard break, so go for a side heavy, or the top light-light combo.

If you have at least half stamina, try the zone attack for a quick side heavy attack. Its super quick and pretty hard to guard against unless they're already blocking in that direction.

You don't have a lot of kit in the way of turtling, so try to have a mix of attack/defense actions.

People on the official forums are already saying the devs need to step in again and give the faction war to the Knights. They are saying since open beta was handed to them, the Knights should be handed this victory too.

Apparently a Dev responded and said they did in fact give the open beta win to the Knights because of the games cover art, even though Vikings were supposed to win.

Right now many characters lack a truly diverse toolkit. Everyone can block, parry, guard break and feint, so any characters who rely on those don't have much going for them. Warden has tricks up his sleeve, it's what makes him so strong. Valk has a ton of tools but literally no damage so she is worthless.

I think almost every character needs a few more tools to work with, all of which are focused around offensive play and keeping defensive players on their toes, for this game to really shine.

The game would be better if there were less opportunities to use environmental hazards. You shouldn't have to play around avoiding them, you should have to play around planning to use them.

The whole 'just don't fight near hazards' argument loses a lot of weight when you have characters like the Warlord you can drag your ass ludicrously far.

Honestly I don't mind the geysers and the fire too much myself, they hurt but they don't instantly end you. I'm fine with utilizing the environment for kills, but many of the maps are simply build with at least half if not more of the stage having instant kill hazards. It's dumb how many there are, in respawning game modes I don't care as much but in 1 life modes it can become infuriating as 1 mistake is instant death, compared to it being a drawn out fight.

Remove instant kill hazards, rework classes built around tossing people off the map.
