if you are a baddie and can't deal with maeve though, pick someone who is strong against maeve. here's a list:
makoa - hooks duh
any other tank - ignore her and do your job
cassie - preemptive roll away from her pounces
drogoz - stay high enough that she can't hit you, combo spit her face if she gets too close and she'll have to run away. learn to hit combos WHILE MOVING and don't do it while standing still you noobs
grover - cripple
pip - slow (think of pip as more of a dps than healer and make sure you have another healer already)
buck - so much health and movement ability you can ignore her, make sure you have lowest cooldown jumps and leg day
androxus - if you are aimer god like me you can fuck maeves up easily. nether step to avoid pounces and space out your nether steps as much as possible to avoid a nine lives second pounce.

I think it needs to fix its hitboxes if it ever wants to become a serious competitor to CSGO. The visuals don't really matter that much, no one takes competitive Overwatch seriously.

So what's the current PvE? When I played earlier it was still the hot and spicy hour.

You wanna stick with someone, preferably the tank, and just use totems whenever you can. Totem placement is critical. If it's out in the open, it can get easily destroyed, so be sure to place it either around corners or behind your tank/his shield to protect it. His weapon is great if you have good tracking, Ghost Walk can get you out of quite a few situations and Shock pulse is... eh. Oh, and only use your ult as a burst heal for injured teammates nearbly.
Most Grohk builds focus on his totem. Healing Rain is the lowest effective healing increase card, so don't use it. Gale and Crackle are really good, Monolith Totem 2 makes sure it doesn't get 1-shot by anything. Other Ghost Walk cards can be situationally useful, but Shock Pulse cards are pretty much a waste.
I normally go: Crackle 4, Gale 4, Monolith Totem 2, Haunting 1, Outreach 1. (with Chronos 3, you can even have 2 totems out briefly)

I don't know what the fuk to say.. it's literally impossible to kill Maeve as Drogoz if they know what they're doing. Every other champion you can at least use positioning to either get away from or catch up to, even if they have supreme tactical superiority such as Kinessa or Cassie or Andro or what have you. Plus there are situations over all these champions where you have tactical superiority such as in close quarters or indoors. Maeve can simply reposition herself away from you and delete your hp, she's like a midrange kinessa.

I don't know how we won that but it was incredibly satisfying for our team to go from 3/4 down over the course of a few rounds and finally pushing the cart to last for the win
Their Kinessa shat out damage and Maeve was real decent where as our Maeve took until the end of the match to consistently hunt down their Kinessa and our Pip took a while to learn to use his healing on groups of teammates instead of single targets
Our Viktor eventually came to play more carefully after enough [VCC]s and pressured their Bomb King a lot more so he couldn't just lob stickies from far away all day and once that was done our Ruckus could actually get on the point and make them back off
I ended with Morale Boost 3 and just popped my ult on their Torvold every single time he peeked out and their Mal'damba only really used his gourds offensively and denied his team the few heals they'd have needed to completely stomp us
the friend's requests were from different matches where a similar thing happened but I'm autistic so I can't accept or deny those
I can't wait for my elo to get high enough where I only play against teams that steam roll us over and over. I'll probably just make a smurf at that point even though I hate smurfs since I don't play with friends at all times and don't want to be forcibly stuck against competitive teams at all times

I've been having garbage teams all day so having a team start off like shit and slowly work their way up to working together and winning made my double dragon dongs diamond hard

Can someone explain to me why anyone would pick Buck in this meta? He seems to have laughable damage unless literally right in front of the enemy, which gets him blown the fuck up.

His mobility is extremely unreliable as it's super easy to overshoot or undershoot your target when using it mid combat.

And lastly, Maeve and Evie exist. He can't reliably 1v1 either of them due to their superior damage and mobility. All Buck has going for him is mediocre and slow sustain. I'm truly at a loss.

I played with a guy who picked Barik.

Ran off and played him like a flank.
I was the only person attacking the center and I was Grohk or some shit.
He also complained in the chat the whole time that he was the only one "killing people."
