D-shift doesn't need a 'soft counter' it needs to be fucking errata'd. Makes no sense for it to exist in its current state, and it will only get worse and worse as Rune gets more powerful spells/followers until it needs to be banned outright.

D-Shift should get either one of these two clauses:
a. You can only activate one Dimensional Shift per turn.
b. You retain your current mana +1 in a shifted turn.

That's way these kind of cards operate in other CCGs and D-Shift should get the same treatment.

D-Shift wouldn't even be a problem if this game had secrets. Or instants. Or trap cards. Or perfect guards. Or shields. Or any sort of cards that can be activated during your opponents turn.

As it is you're entirely at your opponent's mercy on their turn so within SV design there isn't much you could do. Say you introduce an amulet that says "The first time your opponent plays a follower, destroy it." Shift would just start running more petrifies and other such cards.

I don't feel the extra 1 drop does too much for me. It's not a very good draw later on in the game either, unlike Ambling which atleast does 1 face dmg always and humorously ends games a lot of the time. Then again this is just my preference.

They're understatted or have troublesome proc requirements but normal pp costs meaning it's vulnerable and you can't combo them. Once you play them, they can't do much without dying and the opponent can easily trade into them costing you your hand and the tempo. Even the craft that is best at boosting them can't keep them up and still relevant to the curve when everyone else is just shitting out stuff whole magnitudes of power stronger. This is on top of most decks having sufficient random dmg, bounce, bane, or aoe to kill them anyway. http://pastebin.com/w4B7H3bh Even if you just use them as an alternate instead of a main focus, all they have to do is run you out to t10 and their win cons will break you.

Dirt is not particularly good against aggro. It's probably the worst Control deck against aggro (not saying that it is bad against it though). If you don't open with Smelter or you don't draw into your Veteran/Timeless, you can have a bad time.
Against Daria, it's the same shit as Haven: "just Themis Calamitous". If you don't have it or can't answer a turn 4-5 board, they fuck you up.

There's no reason for it to be random at all. Mind rot lets the opponent choose both cards to discard. Basically it only completely fucks you over if every card in your hand is crucial to winning the game, but it's still relevant because it's not just "opponent discards their worst card that they would never play anyway." Random discard at this point would basically be a coin flip to determine whether or not you lose the game.
