So whats the vedict on Valk now?
I like her.
She feels more like a real mix of defense and offence now insteand of the assassin cancer people used her as in the test she was in.
Her sweap doesn't do damage anymore and she doesn't even get anything from it unless you are close to a wall and you have to hit either two lights or a sheild bash to get it out now.
Her heavy is straight up trash and isn't really suppose to be used for anything other then canceling or getting one hit in after a GB.
Her lights are still sonic fast but it balances out her flaws nicely since she doesn't have any real other damage source now.
Her dash is a defence tool wicht is something we haven't seen before.
Don't know why they left the poison move after dash guard in tho, it's straight up not reactable to pull of
Good mixup potential to confuse people with.
10/10 in my book i like new not cancer walk

Valk is dogshit now. Hits like a wet noodle, no reach and slow as fuck. Requesting footage of a Valk beating the lv3 Shugoki consistently. Playing the spear&shield character was why i bought the game in the first place. Already put 100+ hours into the Warden, the only other character i had any fun with, and now the Valk is nerfed so hard just because Orochis and Peacekeepers were no longer gods and bitched on the forums. Yes, the Valk from the closed test was too strong but this feels like they just went so overboard with the tuning that they were ready to anything just to keep the forums from sinking into chaos again.

You can chain it out of lights and it can only be escaped by dodging. You can also cancel out of it into guard break or feint/parry - and guard break catches dodges. You do the math.
Basically, it's a brutal 50/50 mixup that can be repeatedly chained.

I'm loving it so far, it's very comfy. And yes a siege game mode would have been amazing, with AI archers, balistas, and catipults for the defenders. And the attackers get AI battering ram team, shock troops with big shields to hide behind and ladder teams. And then you could have hot oil environmental kills. Holy shit the more I think about it the more I want it.
Tha attackers objective could be to kill an AI lord in the strong gold, so they would have to take the walls or storm the gates then fight through into the tight corridors of the strong hold and fight up it to the top.

He is fairly difficult to play still, though - kind of have to reliably chain the unblockables together and take advantage of your resets. They feel like they've been fixed so that they don't throw opponents too far to follow-up on anymore, so it's been easier to get cheap shots in shitters that way.

Checked out his moveset vs a bot yesterday and it seemed kinda insane. Sidedodge into shove combostarter is sick, and the move where he lifts the opponent with his weapon and throws him down is free heavys.
My only problem was that I couldnt manage to cancel the Blind Justice unblockable. I could cancel the unblockable finishet in the light heavy heavy chain though, which has the same sound queue and animation ad blind justice.
