Then you might wanna stop posting in generals, because everyone who posts consistently invariably stands out. Even if the posting style devolves into "anonymous shithead," that anonymous shithead will still be identifiable as /that/ anonymous shithead. You can't have it bother ways, generals do not stay anonymous forever.
It's not critical, but if you're gonna use a basically monocolor background you should avoid ones with sexual preference connotations that you don't mean to convey. Also, ditch the borders entirely or make fancy custom ones.

That is what I typically keep in mind when making cards, and usually make stuff from the hexa mods and defaults. The only restrictions I put on my cards are a few tans to give them personality such as freckles or mascara. And maybe bottle glasses because I like 90's anime character tropes and think they are super cute.

Frame drops from stacked hair may be a little hard on newbies, but its up to the card makers. I think characters that work via drag and drop into the folder is a better idea than characters that require a little tuning.

Just enough to get people to through the basics.

The problem with AAU is that it's not ready for release. It's unstable and has unfinished features. Version 10 to my knowledge hasn't been publicly released yet but I'm too lazy to check.

Test 10 is starting to look like release quality software, but if all that's public is test 9 then that's less than ideal.

You can make good looking characters with basic bitch stuff though. Mods just give you more flavor and options to work with, or if you are looking for something very specific to the character.

Thats why I said its up to the card makers. But of my opinion, characters that use vanilla and hexa is easier on newbies than characters that require people to figure out how hair outline color works, mesh archives, hair stacking, ect.

What I think we should do is make like 3 difficulty level rosters, beginner, advanced, and hardcore.
And each greater difficulty holds cards that are more complex to use.

Not sure, I am from the time period where I used dark wolfs wizard to mod my games. I am still getting used to the program and AAinstall is still a little weird to me.

I am sure the veterans here can identify complex cards from little complex, to easy pz cards. It could serve as a training regime, where you give basic manual instructions and leave people to their own devices using the knowledge they learned from using lightly modded charecters.

any "advanced" card is indistinguashable from another in terms of how much effort it takes to set it up. If anything AAU cards are even easier to set up because they're literally plug and play. We're not talking about creating the cards but about deploying them. What was difficult for the card maker to create could be piss easy for an anon to use.

AAU isn't even "advanced", you just drag and drop and run it with the game. You don't have to know shit about overrides/hilights to get it to work. Also, AAU adds POV and H-AI, which alone should make it standard.

My suggestion is that you keep the blazer/shirt/whatever at a subdued colour that doesn't catch the eye. Like white. And colour the accents appropriately. Maybe a skirt texture from the hard linker too.

The jacket can be something less subdued. It looks really weird to me if you have like a white jacket over a gaudy blazer.
