Excuse my dumbness (long time since I used my o3DS), but how do you exactly update the hax payload? I'm trying to use ctr-httpwn, but it doesn't work because it requires version 2.8 of hax payload, and I'm using version 2.6 of my hax payload. My currrent boot.3dsx I'm using is the CtrBootManager.

How do you run Wii VC games downloaded from utikdownloadhelper on Wii U? I know anything vWii doesn't work on redNAND, but installing them to the nand and running them from a clean boot just gives me a 'this NNID has been deleted' error message. I just want to play some Rhythm Heaven. I have a USB drive for Wii U games, and apparently you cannot run Wii games, only GameCube, off the SD.

So I'm updating to Luma and using a guide on gbatemp (https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-updating-from-rxtools-to-luma3ds.427735/ specifically). I just want to be sure I don't fuck anything up.

So I've followed all the steps in the Menuhax section. I've dropped in arm9loaderhax.bin and the proper boot.3dsx

However the guide does not mention a single thing about 3DS folder in the zip, which has Luma3DS.3dsx and Luma3DS.smdh that go inside SD/3ds/Luma3DS. Do I need to copy these files too? I would figure I should but I don't want to go against the guide and do anything stupid. Should I just ignore them?

I use WiiFlow and when I try launch the only game that it can read. It fails.

I have 2 .wbfs files on a FAT32 64GB Thumbdrive. I tried the back and front of the Wii U. I tried GX USB loader but it can't read the thumb drive.

I'm trying to hack a 3ds I just bought off a friend. I'm following the guide for using soundhax to load arm9loaderhax, but when I go to the 3ds sounds app and play the sound file to load the cfw menu this happens. Every time. I'm finally getting around to homebrew and other fancy stuff with 3ds.guide, but I've hit a snag and have no idea what's going on. I'm at Section V of https://3ds.guide/installing-arm9loaderhax and trying to get this Hourglass9 thing to recognize the injectable FBI .apps for Health and Safety. But when I get to the list to choose which to inject, I can only see the freshly dumped vanilla HS app in the menu. Doesn't seem to detect the others. Yes, they're in the files9 folder and I don't think I used this Gateway thing to downgrade and it doesn't seem to be a mentioned problem there. Anyone have an idea what might be wrong?

i am trying to play Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town on mGBA on my CFW 3DS

the game runs fine, mGBA runs fine, but mGBA doesn't give me very many config options and FOMT has an annoying feature where the interface boxes are made transparent by doing this checkered pattern that oscillates every other frame to give the illusion of transparency

i need to enable an option that VBA calls "Smart Interframe Blending"

I'm currently updating to A9LH after staying with rxTools out of laziness. I'm pretty much done already, I'm at 11.3 with Luma and A9LH, except for a very minor detail:

I'm trying to dump the Health & Safety app as the guide says, but the Hourglass9 dumper says "H&S Dump: Failed!"

I also tried to inject over it and "Failed!"

What am I missing? This is literally the last stretch...

HBL is really only useful for loading up the FTPD cia, and a handful of other things.

Not a big deal for most people if HBL itself doesn't load up properly.

.cia files are installed onto the system they dont need a launcher.
.3dsx files need the hbl.

Where am I supposed to go to learn how to use signature patches? I used Flim Flam's retard-guide for Haxchi and the WUP installer, but there is absolutely no mention of this, and it's required to play patched games like uncensored Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, and Fatal Frame, as well as installing digital-only games.

I tried to look it up, but all I found was about using redNAND, which I avoided in the first place by installing Haxchi. An explanation or push in the right direction would be appreciated.

I don't understand this Wii U signature patching thing. I am using Haxchi and WUP with the regular sysNAND, no redNAND, and I can't find a fw.img file anywhere. The instructions for making one yourself are incomprehensible to someone that doesn't have a CS degree. I've something released in december that apparently does sig patches without needing the fw.img file, but I don't want to trust it because I've never heard about it before. I just want to fucking play TMS#FE uncensored, why is this so complicated. 3DS was so easy.
