don't ever set out to parry/deflect an attack in that "ok the next attack he does, i'll parry it". that will just cause sadness and despair. instead, just look at your opponent and be ready for the throw animation. if he attacks then make blocking your first priority. but if your brain tells you "i recognize this, i can parry this" then go for the parry. let the parry sit in your muscle memory, not your brain

I've been using Warden after trying out every other Knight class and I have to say I'm in love, does he have a high skill ceiling? As the people I've fought while doing brawls with my Girlfriend weren't especially hard and even after she went to sleep I continued playing and I've only lost to shitters.

But my actual question apart from the skill ceiling one is that does Warden have any other tricks up his sleeves than the ones I've discovered? (Also I have no idea how to do the weird grab and throw to the sides someone please tell me)

Assassin fagets dodge in the direction of an attack using parry timing
PK gets a free bleed shank
Oro gets a free light or a ballsy heavy
Zerk gets a free GB

I think, after having played this game a lot, the characters are more or less balanced.

PK should only get two stabs and then a optional kick after, Berserker needs a little more to work with, and Nobushi getting bleed might be overkill IMO, but just about everything can be dealt with and countered in some way or another, and every character has a reliable way to do damage. Except Berserker, unless I'm missing something.

Berserker has more feints to work with up close than other characters, depending on how strong that ends up being, berserker could end up being strong.

Berserker is so about the side to side combos. Very light on damage, but it doesn't matter if you opponent can't touch you. Plus it has hyperarmour on some moves, I believe.

A mediocre Conqueror can absolutely fuck up a good Orochi's day. All you need to do is charge up your heavy, keep blocking them until they go for the guardbreak and then bash their fucking skull in while they try to grab you. 3 of those alone takes one down. Throw in a shield bash combo and it's even quicker.

I don't think you lose stamina, it's just a stun that stops you from seeing the indicator for their next attack. Just take the hit and dodge left right after, they always go for the top heavy after they stun you.

Warden is one of the best classes in the game.

When you guard break someone, if you hit X and another direction you throw them in that direction.

As for tips: MAKE SURE TO GET DOWN THE SHOULDER BASH MIX UP:

When you hit someone, you can start a shoulder bash. Here is where the mix up comes in: You are able to CANCEL shoulder bash into a guard break, so it's a 50:50

If your opponent tries to attack and you do the shoulder bash, you hit and get a free follow up

If your opponent tries to dodge the shoulder bash, but you cancel it into guard break, you hit them and get a free follow up.

Obviously, it's just a guessing game. If your opponent attacks, but you canceled into guard break, you'll get hit, and if they dodge the shoulder, you get hit.

However, it's REALLY good and hard to stop.

The best part? After you do the mix up, if you hit them, you can go for it AGAIN!

You can literally kill some people from 100% to 0% if they guess wrong 2 or 3 times.

Here's what you need to do against a good orochi: light attacks, heavy, heavy faint, shield bash/-feint and wear out stamina.
Normal attacks or combos don't work because if he's good he'll counter them.
In your first post you mention the heavy charge. A good Orochi won't fall for a heavy charge unless you can perfectly mindfuck him into making a wrong move.

All you need to do to mind fuck an Orochi is constantly advance on him while blocking all his attacks. It leaves him one option: go for a guardbreak, which is when your heavy flies. If you back him up towards a wall and he still won't throw out a guardbreak, a shield bash into the wall will do the trick.
