When it comes to CMs, both in torments and other cases, I've found that if you can't supply enough parts of the trinity in that realm, and ESPECIALLY the major medica SBs specific to that realm, you basically can't fucking do them.

Like, I am stacked for gear in X and XIII and stuff like that, but I don't have Vanilles shit and I don't have Yuna's shit, so even with 4 other BSBs I do nothing to the CMs in those realms. Which is pretty sad considering I've beaten the 250's but the orbs/crystals for the CMs matter much more to me than the ones those gave.

I was running Cid on my first build instead of Cait Sith because his SSB was Wind and zeroed the wait time for Sky High, but I could try double shared medica again sure.

I've actually got Boostga and Hastega available here (as well as Planet Protector if need be) but I'm still not sure if two shared medicas and arguably useless synergy is enough to power through it. Worth a try?

You guys probably already know this already but the guard scorpion card drops as flash grenade which is almost identical to Jessie's card (Fewer extra abilities and auto abilities). For reference here is Jessie's card for the damage stats. It's a pretty decent mage ability if you can use it.
Guard scorpion card drops at 100% it seems when I use 4 shines guards (better safe than sorry) so it would be nice to farm them to power up Jessie but unfortunately Jessie's card draws maxed out so I'm not sure why they did this. Do you get the avalanche cards for free in the next act or are there different scorpions there? If true that would make sense.

Red mage is garbage anyway and skill seeds are easy as shit to farm once you have a few 4* and 5* cards. That "fucking ton of skill seeds" you spent on unlocking your dumpster mage is something I could farm in 10 minutes tops. The onion jobs are there just so you can get a feel for how different jobs play and so you that you can actually use any skill card you get, they aren't meant to be something you use for the rest of the fucking game.

Coming from shitty Korean MMOs and Mobage, the FF mobage are fucking godsends. Koreans are so fucking jewy all the fucking time. It's amazing how these let me play as much as I want despite the stamina because they give so many refills. I have 25 elixirs in mobius right now and the event just keeps giving more. While I'd advise against it because of better banners, if you did I would suggest banner 2 because the best thing on 1 is Sarah's BSB, which does come back on a better banner if you can hold out.

Banner 2 has a better SB spread and still has a medica for Sarah.

Also I mean the shinra guard cards. All of the squads drop a card (Titan squad deathwatch squad, etc). All of them have an extra skill that increases the drop chance of the guard scorpion. Okay I read those charts again. So basically I'd need 25 guard scorpions max to raise Jessie's ability to level 7 without taking chances? And then 25+25+44+44 more guard scorpions.
This seems like a fucking shit ton of cards to invest into a card that's not even for my class type. Even if I was playing a mage that could use light orbs, I'm not even sure this would at all be worth to effort put into it. Or honestly, not so much effort, but I don't have enough bank space to store 150 guard scorpion cards for who knows how long I actually get the materials to increase Jessie's rarity, again assuming I could actually even use this card.

By these reasons and more, I think I can deduce that this fucking retarded and I shouldn't even bother at all. At least until I get a card I can use. Hopefully they make a Guard Scorpion V2 with Barret's ability and I Get a light job (Or they put in a dark ability and I get a dark job). At any rate, I don't get why they made it like this. These cards really don't benefit very many people at all. Do any of you even have any jobs with light orbs yet?

The point is to fuse the scorpions together into higher-level scorpions. so you 'd only need about a dozen or so spaces, enough to get the scorpions up to level 6 and then five of them for the final level, for example.

I'm in the same boat, though, it's hard to tell whether it's more worth it to spend some mithril on extra card slots, or whether to spend a bunch of ability tickets and say fuck it to the higher levles.

Yes, you need 25 guard scorpions to drop, but they only take 5 bank slots because you're storing 1 ability lv 6 guard scorpion and 4 ability lv 1 guard scorpions

Every day that ends with an 8 gets a 20% boost to fusion, so it's better to do your fusing on those days.

You are right it isn't really worth bothering if you don't have the Devout job. It's important to understand the system though, because it's used for just about every ability in the game unless you're a whale and can use ability tickets to boost your cards to max

Also assuming you meant magicite, I don't think buying more slots would be worth it just yet. The faq says to save for a mobius gift pack and that's what i've been doing. It seems like quite a good idea. I don't know how much you hate the inventory management since I've seen some people complain about it, but I think it would be better to just deal with it for now until you've actually got a lot of cards you need to save.

Regardless, you should still buy cards from the ability shop because they're very good. Try to buy one of each that you'll use and then buy dupes of the ones you use the most. That's what i did. The 43 ticket cards only cost 43 initially and then cost the regular 3 to buy after that.

I should reiterate that I meant for cards with abilities that you can't find from drops (Or at least aren't listed in the faq or are easily farmable). I did it with the Salamander card so I could level up it's inferno ability since I don't think that's dropped by anything. Same with flame assault.

Salamander and any other card with a + on it is a fast learner card. Its ability level is maxed when you buy it, but it has the downside of not being augmentable.

If you want to use ability tickets to increase a card's ability level, I believe it's more efficient to just use boosted fusion instead of buying dupes one at a time.

I think the only exception to this rule is when you use mog amulets along with a mobius day bonus to pull off some wizardry, but that's a more advanced topic.
