So, could someone explain to me how the summoning mechanics exactly work? As in: one-step or two-step, or some variation? The reason for this is that I want to roll for Hector, but I don't know which of the two banners I should use for that.

One-step process: the 5 characters you get are predetermined the moment you go to the summoning screen. The colours of the stones that show up correspond with the 5 locked-in characters.

In this case the chance of rolling Hector is the same under both banners (3%)

Two-step process: first there's a certain chance a stone will have a specific colour, then once you summon using that stone it draws a character from that pool. In that case there are 2 cases:

(a) The chances of each colour appearing are equal and static, always the same. In this situation the chance of green stones appearing are the same in both banners, meaning the chance for a Hector is smaller in Deep Devotion because the chance for a Camilla is greater in that one.

(b) The increased odds for Camilla also manifest itself in the sense that more green stones appear. This is an interesting case. Even though the chance to roll a camilla with each green stone is larger, the fact that more green stones will appear increases the overall odds of getting Hector (compared to Legendary Heroes).

So, does anyone know if case 1, 2a, 2b or another one I haven't considered is true?

So uh, any tips for Hero's? Not exactly sure if I'm playing as best as I can, and given the stamina system, I feel like it's better if I don't waste my time playing like an idiot.

I've basically been using my orbs whenever I have enough to roll 5 in a row. So far about the only noteworthy summons I've gotten are Marth and Roy, who I have a feeling are both supposed to be 5 stars, or I just got lucky.

I've just been training them up at the moment along with a 3 star Frederick and Lissa, because I got decimated on that first mission where it's a 5v4.

So I initially thought promoted units got fucked compared to units you get from 5*, but I forgot the end result still has the 4* weapon equipped, so in the end, promoted don't have any penalty.
At least, it is best for us to grind 4* dupes and see what kind of boon/bane we can get in the process.

Now feg, what do you think? -hp / +def Robin doesn't look fantastic by any means, but he can deal with Takumi even more.

Like I said, the end result doesn't have the 5* equipped for obvious reason. That's also why the website has put a warning regarding weapons that are considered in the calculator/average reports as well.

Robin has a 7MT weapon aty 4* and 11MT weapon at 5*. Therefore, if I promote him, he will have 18 atk, not 14.

It's based on the leading unit. You can have a 3 star unit lead and have three 5 star units at higher levels on one team and it'll count as a Basic battle.
