There's been maybe 2 lag spikes tonight on the new server and no crashes that I'm aware of. Have experienced stuttering a couple times, but honestly it is noticeably smoother than the first server was this weekend. Well you can always get the shrines for others later on, so really it's what you feel is the best for early-mid game. Set gives you a pretty good weapon (45 damage knife vs stone sword's 30). Yog gives you food that heals and a shit weapon as well as the whole eating people thing (26 damage). Mitra gives you ambrosia heals (no food or water regen on it) and a decent weapon (36 damage and 100 durability).

I'd consider that point in which you are using metal weapons (broadsword and pike) to be mid game. By then you should have a base established in an area with decent iron and coal nodes. Mainly less focus on struggling to survive and more focus on upgrading your base/characters.

I think Crom should give a starting bonus to stats or have a passive like a 10% chance to ignore damage.

In an extreme sense, make it so that you embody Crom. Once a day, taking fatal damage will send you into a berserker rage. This doubles your damage output and attack speed while making you unable to drop below 1HP for the duration of 8 seconds. Kill an enemy and regain lost HP. Fail to kill anything and you die along with the cooldown for the ability going up to 3 days.
