It is Wedding Dance. The original modder took it down from nexus when he realized he left all the lewd in. I'm pretty sure The SoTT Trilogy and Dickplomacy use the sex animations from it.

Some anon here had the Original M&B version (the one with the lewd) and ported it to warband.

I downloaded it because someone told me it had good nun assets...I was tricked.

if anyone is interested, here is a version of Dickplomacy with polished landscapes and rubik's political map generator (https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,251355.0.html) (accessed through the report menu).
it can't properly be called dickplomacy because dickplomacy anon didn't put the sex stuff in the source code and you can't add it with the text files from vanilla dickplo, it does however have the other cool stuff like the custom banner creator and formation AI so it's more like a diplomacy+ mod.

I mean, I can undesrtand the plot railroading, but hell, the actual tSoIaF plot did fucking develop, characters died, kingdoms died, wars were declared and truces betrayed, all that stuff. The world was alive. In acok, I feel like in a museum, everything is beautiful and realistic and cool but doesn't move and gets boring soon enough. Becoming a king and conquering everything is even easier than in native, because in native factions actually attacked you after declaring war. I once tried to go full CHA character and persuaded the king of Dorne to declare war on Stormlands, which he did. And guess what? Not even a single battle happened between lords of dorne and stormlands, and they made peace in a week or so.
ACOK has stunning graphics and the best scenes I ever saw in any m&b mod, troop trees and item selection are also great but the gameplay is pretty much nonexistent. And I'm not even talking about broken features like hardcoded lance cracking if you deal more than 30 damage with it.

Even if we pretend like people showing up ready to make mods for Mount and Blade was a once in history event, and no one else will bother to start learning how to code in order to create mods, I know of at least one C# based and massive modding community that's been running out of new things to code for a while now, and which's parts may or may not be/become avid Bannerlord players.
So don't be surprised if Bannerlord has a mod, in which you colonise Mars, and conquer Calradia by creating a Satellite Network and convince its populace to turn against their lieges, because you've got crystal clear reception during the Big Game.

I love and hate it because it bundled the classics and boosted support resolutions and made it easier to run on modern systems.

The part I hate is that the remastery is fucking bugged as shit, the only thing I like is the multiplayer allowing classic units to fight HW2 units. I love the Taiidan and the fact they are viable and can compete agianst HW2 ships is nice.

They have the best ship designs.
You are better off playing the originals over the remasters because they are not fucking broken for starters, and the cinematics still have thier charm.

Low level power draw vs high level power draw is world's different. Right now you likely need your Lance as a can opener but later on there is nothing that a Lancer can do that you won't be able to do more efficiently as a mounted archer.

That is assuming you go all in with power draw. Lancing is basically the low stat investment approach towards combat. While Lancing has great OHKO capability it is also by far the least efficient method of killing enemies rapidly and can easily put you into dangerous positions on the field.

I unironically like the M&B skill system and will defend it.

I will not deny that it's not very friendly or intuitive, but once you "get it", you can take full advantage of making builds that suit to your liking.

It's also true that some skills are just plain garbage, but for the most part in my opinion, I think it's a very unique approach to how RPG's traditionally are where you can become good at everything one way or another.

What you need to understand is that M&B's skill system forces you to either specialize to your playing style or be somewhat competent but still extremely shitty.

To illustrate this, M&B also did the same thing wuth their factions. Swadia, Rhodok, and the Nords are THE objectively most successful factions for a reason and that's because of their specialization. Meanwhile, the Vaegirs are trash because they try too much to take a bit of all but wasn't specialized enough (I know, I know, muh marksmen, but they still suck compared to other top-tier units).

In M&B, you essentially HAVE to make choices, and they have to be GOOD choices, even if you specialize. The Khergits are specialized, but they're in a poor specialization since mountains will just destroy them and in sieges they perform poorly. If you try to mix and match but are unsure of what you're doing, you get the Sarranid -- best played like a Swadia clone, but at its core they're an emulated specialization and aren't that great.

In a nutshell, pick your poison and choose well. That kind of unforgiving attitude is what got me to play it so long since I've spent tons of hours just trying to find that right build for me. And that's what you should do too -- you can't find the best build for your play style without playing. Once you have everything just right, M&B is pure bliss.

Btw, I'm just talking about your own character build. Ideally you should make the most use out of companions to compliment and support your character.

Firstly AI lords in most mods don't go beyond 50-150 troops anyways with exception of Kings. This is easily achievable without needing to be a CHA specialist. Thanks to the leadership book you are looking at 4-5 leadership without specializing in CHA anyways.

In Diplomacy integrated mods that give +100 troops for being King the need for CHA / Leadership for army sizes is even less.

With good deployment the benefits of high morale through leadership is essentially irrelevant. You are going A->B anyways and if you need a morale boost there are always taverns. By the time your army is that massive you really should not have money issues.

I am floating at >240 troops ATM (can't check party as am in siege atm, downtime), but I don't believe 1257AD gives players the AI King/Castle troop bonus. 1257AD seems to either have an early or a modified diplomacy that lacks such elements as Mutual Defense Pacts and Trade Agreements.

If you have been here long enough you should know by now why 10+(4) surgery is godly. The true god skills are surgery, path-finding, wound treatment, and training. The only argument against this is whether you should have it on your character or on a companion.

There are plenty of examples of how a strong warrior character can be significant but lets point out the most obvious: High power draw == Dead enemy cavalry every combat (at the very least by parthian shotting their horses) and efficient death of archers on the enemy walls during sieges.

Do you even play the game? With high surgery + wound treatment you can basically combat non-stop. This is far more powerful than simply having a few more troops. No. Path-finding makes you go faster. Keeping high morale; which is not dependent on leadership, minimizes the penalty of a player that can manage their morale. This is a very important distinction as without path-finding you will never outrun smaller parties.

If you think that Trainer is a skill that you should be stingy with you also; somehow, have never experienced a party with multiple high stacking trainers. Being able to train top tiers within days without combat is a pretty big advantage. Especially when the stacking trainers are being applied to low level companions - Leading to a domino effect.

Food consumption and morale bonuses from food are nice and all, but it becomes a nightmare to buy food once you have 150+ men in your army.

Yeah morale loss for not fighting is pretty retarded. Not only is it annoying to hunt junk mobs simply to keep positive morale but it makes starvation of castles/towns essentially impossible. It also punishes players whom passively follow the Marshal.

Vassal play has been in since original M&B. I treat the morale screen less as an absolute arithmetic of morale but an indicator of the present morale modifier. I do not think that negative/positive morale leads to linear morale loss/gains either. The difference between being at -300 morale and -100 morale does not seem that extreme.

I suspect the constant morale loss is a byproduct of everyone basically floating at net negative morale equity in the scenarios when it is most obvious. This being sieges and following marshal. Even the CHA builds due to perpetually being at max party size.

You could probably use the morale report as an indicator of how much you can field without starting to suffer gradual morale loss. So you have an morale optimal deployment (50+Leadership Morale+food) and the stated maximum party size.

The only problem with this line of thinking is that going without battle for multiple days is inherently bad - If nothing else due to luck gradually degrading. You still wouldn't be able to starve out a town due to running out of food and getting constantly attacked by enemy lords as well.

That's something that worries me about Bonerlord because they're still tweaking combat when the combat wasn't the most glaring issue to begin with. Yeah I agree - The combat is one of the few things that people tend to have almost zero objections with. When they do it tends to be faction balanced based - like heavy cavalry being overly dominant on the field. Or things that the mod community has tried to address - like adding upstab for spears only thank you and pike bracing.

Lord interactions are distressingly one dimensional, faction interactions are bare bones to the point of essentially being just war/peace state, and empire management is essentially non-existent.

Personally I am looking for more news on the Empire Sim elements. Crusader Kings + Koei Empire Sims are the go-to that I would point at for reference. Koei even has lord sim games that can be essentially cannibalized for features.

wat. The combat is the main selling point of M&B. The popularity of MP should make the clear. At the end of the day players aren't getting excited over the gameplay implications of Surgery and Leadership. You can further completely remove surgery and leadership as skills and the core appeal of M&B would not change.

One of the things I've always wanted to see in single player is AI controlled mercenary captains that also switch allegiances, sometimes you're with them, sometimes against, all to an even greater degree than the regular lords. Maybe you could interact with them also in other ways, they'd be more/less open to bribery depending on their personality as well.

Wonder if it'll be possible in Bannerlord.

how I play is incredibly simple but a bit time consuming, but in a nutshell it's just:

Find all companions -> Farm Sea Raiders till 150-200 renown for top-tier gear and exp -> become vassal -> conquer calradia

works every time, I tried the merc and questing life and it just took too long when I want action

the HA stat says it decreases accuracy and damage penalties for firing on horseback, could it potentially buff my bow damage more than power draw could with a single skill point, or is it just going to give me like 1-2 more damage per skill point?

depending on the mod you're playing you might start one shotting on body shot at high PD even on armored targets, also increases the amount of time you can have a bow drawn

It's really fun, you really only need 12 agi and 15+ str to make decent use of it, then the rest you can kinda do what you want with so i usually end up being a chad/str fuckboy when i do horse archery

alternatively you can just play TLD where bows are overpowered as fuck and orcs have absolute shit tier armor so they die in 1 bodyshot if you have ~4 PD which actually makes it really fun but ezpz unless you get caught by marshal forces

well I was going for a HA build in ad1257, but I had to fight several defensive long ass sieges and dropped the mod, again, I'll try to comeback to it eventually, but since there is a giant siege waiting for me there, it won't be any time soon, the absence of good bows also means I'll need something like 21 strenght to deal decent damage

and right now I am playing VC which has no horse archery at all, I need some new mod, I wonder if HA works well in sands of faith

Been playing the ps4 port of warband a lot lately. It crashes whenever it autosaves, all the menus are still the same and sometimes the audio loops forever. Aiming while on horseback is pretty much impossible. All in all its quite comfy desu. Haven't played native in ages. The simplicity is nice.

The stat requisite system is way too railroaded in general.

If patrols were the only thing Diplomacy added, it would still be worth it. Yeah you can't expect them to hold the frontier against invading enemy armies, but they do their job at keeping areas clear of bandits, and the most invaluable thing they do, is they bully and scare off those asshole lords who just got reamed by you but are back the next day with two dozen poor peasants, looting your village. Fuck that mechanic in the game, holy shit running your own faction in Native is bullshit because of that.

So yeah, patrols are convenient as fuck, well worth it. Don't rely on them to protect super-important areas, but they are great for keeping an eye on your hinterlands from bandits and single-asshole enemy raids.
