That's a difficult path. On paper, it seems easy, because they are a lot of items that are shitty by themselves. However, there are other items that can turn an otherwise useless item into something that becomes a win condition for the run. Soy Milk and Curse of the Tower are great examples of this.

Every possible item interaction needs to be considered before removing something to see if it's really worth slimming the item pool down in exchange for whatever potential syngergies could be lost. Hell, if you have pyromaniac and curse of the tower, you literally lose nothing and in fact benefit hugely from every item that has "x" effect when you take damage. This isn't to say I think every on hit item should stay (let's be real, if you have CotT+Pyromania, most of the time extra on hit effects are pretty pointless) but it can negatively impact the game.

I didn't know all zones cadence went against necrodancer.

I had blood+crown of thorns for a food while but I got rid of it for obsidian because I was full 10 heart health (which I STILL have never gotten the achievement for, is it just broken?) but then I kind of shit myself.

Or remove them entirely (my opinion). The item pool is already saturated with plenty of HP up items that are just better versions of breakfast and it's clones. A lot of good items to start looking at would be some of the less useful and unique familiars(sister maggy and brother bobby come to mind), as well as items that just provide flat stat bonuses which aren't too useful and otherwise bloat the item pool. I think that the items which affect gameplay are definitely better overall than something that's just "+5 range" or something.

The Adversary's weak points are actually quite close to him, since his lasers always have 4-way origins and quite large curves (i.e. standing diagonally below to the left means he'll fire left or down, but can't hit if you're a certain distance away).

Adversary is annoying, but I usually just circle him so he always looks other way. To use his brimstone he first turns in correct direction, so that's a cue to run away. Not that it works when they neatly stay in opposite sides of room though. You can try to lure one into plummeting on top of other, since I think it damages the one who stayed on floor.

Anyway, no blog from me, just fucking hate Lost, 15 runs or so already, I have to sanic through to finally get last boss rush and forget about going so fast, and I either come to Mom with damage close to minus infinity, or die to lolspiders. In AB+ you can do a victory lap when killing the Lamb, at the 3rd or 4th one i believe, you become The Lost, you can exit the run and continue and it WILL count it for achievements, probably a bug, so you can break the game and just steam roll it, that's what i did to kill Delirium because fuck getting there without killing Hush.

Fuck any Deep Blues stage with red Knights in them. As for Fortissimole he'll pop up if you walk within a one tile radius of him and he'll stay emerged long enough for you to get a hit in before he goes back down (3 beats I think). They did in the transition between WoTL and Rebirth; Lucky Foot used to basically give you mini PHD and eliminated all negative pill effects, but just didn't identify pills or get rid of neutrals.
