I've just realized that paladin is dedicated trash class in HS. Remember how often Ben talked about players who love to play with trash in dim hope to make it work? It's just a very different game, hand size is pretty much the only resource. I really like the dynamic of 3-round battles for one.
It's also much less jewy than HS, but at that point its not that hard to achieve.

With time you are learning the basic removal that decks have and when they're likely to use it.
Most of the time you want to bait out a Hex/Poly with something semi-big before you throw your Tirion or something on turn 8.
If you can't bait, sometimes you have to take the risk by playing directly into removal/answers.

Same goes for you, think about if your opponent is trying to bait your removal by playing that way. By tanking some damage he might be sure that you don't have anything, and play right into your boardclear.

I advise you to play all classes, that gives you a good feeling of strengths and weaknesses. (Like rogue having large single-target removal. but no real boardclear, whereas Paladin is the other way around.)

I think people are going about this wrong. Instead of nerfing shaman, buff the counters. What about a 2 mana 1/4 destroy opponents weapon card with taunt?

I think the whole problem with shaman is that Reno Mage is too expensive. If it weren't, you'd see more of them on ladder, and then people would try to counter that, etc.

MTG did this concept where the attacked player chooses the taunt, which gives you more choice from both sides. (For example making your opponent think you will attack in a specific order which he has to counter the best he can.)

Reno mage is the most uninteresting, unfun matchup in any meta I've experienced, it's less fun than combo druid and fucking secret pally, I'd rather play against pirates, etc. It's so boring and the most uninteractive matchup where your board just gets fucked by spells and your enemy keeps drawing more spell damage. At least with renolock I can have a chance at winning by making smart trades with my minions.
I fucking hate how dumb freeze mage is and it eats up at least 10-15 minutes of my life every day from it.

I'm not sure you understand how the idea works. It's like a spike mechanic against minions only, basically a defensive attack. Spells are not included in this. Just like trading with minions. I'm starting to wonder why I'm replying to someone who can't use his brain before typing.

And yes, it would be difficult to implement since the game is requesting you to do something on your opponents turn. Doesn't mean the general concept behind it is bad only because it's digitally demanding.

I don't really know what to remove from the list tho. Hammers seem like an obvious choice because they're not really a good cards (but since it's heavy control I'm fine with overpriced 3 damage that cycles, and I also have Thalnos in), but I don't think I really need 2 oozes, and while I'm putting Barnes in getting rid of doomsayer might prevent some backfires. Thalnos is the one that don't really fit there but I just like him. One ooze and doomsayer for Wickerflame and Barnes just to make this deck extra greedy seems good? Or do I really throw out both hammers?

How the fuck do you try out new decks

Been trying to cobble together and test out some Buffadin deck ideas but even at rank 18 I'm facing aggro shaman, miracle/aggro rogue, reno mage/lock. I know it's the beginning of the month but jesus christ - I thought if I kept my rank as low as possible I'd avoid the tryhards but they're literally everywhere. Even the last few days of last season the ladder was like 90% aggro shamans.

It's the same shit in casual. Maybe even worse because people using netdecks don't even get any stars for winning.

I'm running these.
I play the Wild Tempo variant of Anyfin because I don't have some key control cards for the standard version (Lightlord and Forbiden Healing). I feel this deck is a sleeper tier 1 because I'm actually able to deal with Warriors and Shamans.

The Hunter deck is very similar to some Token lists out there, but I made it myself for quests. Managed to get 3 wins vs Jade Shamans and 1 against Miracle Rogue, maybe this deck has some potential? It loses hard against Pirate Warrior though.

I don't think if I tell any of my ideas at this point you'd do anything but try to invalidate them, but I'll bite:
in short term:
1. Nerf STB in some way (making it a 1/1 sounds reasonable, I'm not really sure) to somewhat adjust the meta
2. Make Spirit Claws gain +1 attack with spellpower instead of 2, or even redesign it to be a midrange weapon
3. Nerf Drakonid Operative to a 5/5 at least
4. Patiently wait for Totem Golem to fuck off

in long term:
1. Make it easier for players to obtain cards, this would make the meta more fluid and would facilitate the self-rebalancing of it.
If a deck is uncounterable you nerf it, but if a deck gets popular and its counter has 7 legendaries in it, it's just a shame having to nerf it.
This won't be done because Blizzard is a jew company.
2. Not allow quest that require you to Win to be completed in Casual mode
