He MIGHT and that's a big MIGHT have a case if he actually had the base fire rate mod on, but he's not using that. 18% extra fire rate is not worth a trade off of 15% damage. Even if it is a beam weapon, it still has to reload and stacking huge amounts of fire rate while simultaneously hurting your base damage isn't the best idea.

The gimmick on Atomos is multiplied by the amount of enemies it hits.

Say you've got 3 enemies in a group. We'll say a Bombard, a Gunner, and a tech.

If you don't have PT, you hit the bombard and it chains to hit the gunner and the tech.

If you add PT and manage to hit both the bombard and the gunner with the stream coming out of your gun, it's chaining off both the bombard and the gunner to hit all 3 twice. This figure goes up exponentially with the number of enemies that you hit. PT is basically an augment for Atomos that makes it do wildly more damage to groups.

Yes there was. Desecrate now automatically desecrates corpses, but it only rolls each corpse one time, and they lowered the success chance of it from like 79% or whatever it was to somewhere like 49% I think.

Wrong. The actual percentage has not changed. The 90% was old Desecrate's chance for a health orb; if it rolled a health orb, it then had a 60% to roll for loot, so the overall % for extra loot is still 54%.

The only nerf to desecrate is that you can't roll the same corpse multiple times.

There's no secret, I just do my sorties. The reason I've accumulated so much is that I have nothing to use it on. I already have all the mods I want maxed. I still have a bunch of dupes/statues I haven't burned to endo yet, as well as 2 Lego cores.

Now it only rolls once and despawns the corpse immediately even if you didn't get anything on the re-roll.

I forget what the calculated figures were but it effectively costs you either 1/3rd or 2.3rds of the loot you used to be able to get by spamming.
