Just fought a Jackal with my attacker (207 STR and 195 DEX) with 4 Bull/Raging Bull decals and Barbarian. Used Oakshroom, ate a stingshroom and Katana raged him but I only did about 3k damage.

Am I doing something wrong? Using Masamune Blade S with 1k atk, do I just have to wait until I upgrade it all the way?

Also, is there ANY way to deal with Goto-9's jump attack while attacking? Yes, I know you can sprint to dodge it, but if you ever start attacking him, he jumps and you can't cancel the attack fast enough. Anything besides the obvious (guardshroom).

I promise the Bulls were up the entire fight, I was keeping my eye on my HP and Decals the whole time. I don't think I could even damage a Jackal with just 1 Barbarian active. Yea I just tested it on floor 1 myself and they are weak as fuck here. I downgraded to Legendary Hero, Superhero, Barbarian, Superalloy, and Treasure Hunter and my Katana rage did 90k damage.

I wonder if they made the weak Jackals BP drops a lot rarer or something.

I figured out what the Shotgun was meant for today when I tried out Dev Raids. It's not really meant to do damage, it's used as a utitlity tool like the fireworks launcher and flamewand, you use it as a knockdown machine. It's really annoying on base defenders keeping you on the floor for 30 seconds.

I guess you might want to use it if you ever get Judge's Gavel and combo it with the knife?

I just Funshroomed the Jackal Blaster and Yoyo, would it be a dick move to send a hunter out with both of them? Does Hunter AI even use them as well as the Jackal AI does?

In the defense simulation, they kinda act like the jackals. It's just they do less damage then they do, you're masteries for the weapons really matter, and a full condition jackal weapon can break easy when they actually fight the player they hunt.

so fuck this jackal grinding i've been endlessly doing, i've got 117 jackal y kills now and he has never dropped another BP since the pants and blaster, which I've read are the most common people get. Plus I feel like they nerfed the drop rates at least on 1F, because I had him drop KC 10 times in a row not even a wep or gear.

Don't get me wrong, I've got almost 300 hours in this game (although probably like 30 hours might be watching netflix waiting on expeditions to finish which I discovered last week)... I definitely got my value out of this game, but there's just nothing left anymore that's fun and I could be doing other things with these hours than grinding jin-die endlessly and getting shit on by Suda when I spend 5hrs to get like 2 alloys or even 0.
