The names came from where their leaders were enfeoffed.

Wei: Cao Cao defeated the Yuan family, he made his personal headquarters at Ye (which had been the Yuan seat of power) so that he could more easily consolidate his hold on the north. He put down roots there and his family decided to remain there rather than at the capital. Ye was in Wei commandery, so Cao Cao was enfeoffed as the Duke of Wei; and later as the King of Wei. The game is piss easy according to the reviewer and higher difficulties only make enemies tougher to kill, there's no change in strategy

The framerate goes to shit even on normal attacks and it shits itself alot for a goddamn turn based SRPG

The sound is compressed to hell even though the game is digital only and doesn't need to worry about fitting on a Vita cart

I once tried playing as Confucius in way-early game (Dong Zhuo?) and stayed true to what I imagined would be true to character, refusing invitations from unworthy lords and meeting and befriending people, both teaching and learning from them.

At which point I decided it was too much work to salvage the game or reload my saves so I jerked off and went to bed

There is the foundation for a good game, and it's such a rare and untapped genre (The only other game that fits the "Being a dude in an era of tumult and can decide to work for/with the AI as a cog in the machine or fucking take it all over I guess with a nod toward the civilian side of things" genre is Mount and Blade, and honestly that's really reaching. A teensy bit of CK2 if you decide to go full vassal forever) that I adore and never get the itch scratched.

I'd say SW Ginchiyo, particularly 2 and 3 version, is superior to Nioh Ginchiyo, though I like both.

Anyway it's because Omega Force are trying to copy the "over-the-top" designs from other games like Touken Ranbu and BASARA without realizing that those designs work because while over-the-top, they're memorable, have a solid reasoning behind them, have identifiable silhouettes, and are kept consistent throughout the years. They need to consider on how to make memorable designs in the vein of Street Fighter, not just overly gaudy ones they'll drop next game just because. Obviously there are exceptions- Ginchiyo, Ranmaru, Nobunaga, Katsuie, and Yukimura come to mind as having consistently good designs, in spite of constantly changing. Then you have shit like Kenshin, Hideyoshi, Mitsunari and the like who get more and more bewildering, and new designs like Masayuki, Kojuuro, Kagekatsu, Naotora, Naomasa, etc. which don't really match the given character or are out and out stupid looking- not in an endearing-stupid way either.

With Nioh, they're making designs that are considerably more grounded with slight flair, and thus, easier to make good looking ones.

DW8E on Vita keeps dropping frames every-time an enemy officer shows up.

Also it seems we didn't get all DLC free like the Jap version either. This port sucks.

I have the Vita version and it's surprisingly great. I don't know anything about One Piece beyond this game though, and one really annoying bit about the game is how you can only choose from a couple characters for each mission, if you can choose at all.

Hi, I used to love dynasty warriors, but there used to be a mosou mode where you pick a character and play through that 1 character's story line and you could do that with each character, build their stats and weapons etc. I was so addicted to that, but I cant find any dw games liek that anymore. I recently bought dw8 hoping for a nostalgia kick but it played through the empire's story lien forcing me to switch heros every battle, I don't like it much.

Am I buying the wrong version or is musou mode gone for good?

The AI for some of the rulers in ROTK X is rather interesting. If you wipe out Yuan Shao from the start of the 189 scenario, Han Fu more likely than not takes his role as ruler of the northern territories and contests with Gongsun Zan. He gets pretty ambitious too, he's got a firm hold on both Luoyang and Xuchang.

To be honest the furries in Musou Stars look like humans with an animal paint job.
