Seems like in the long run anyone without a good unblockable is going to be garbage in this game. If you do nothing but focus on defense its really hard to get opened up to the point where the game gets pretty boring and turtly. I can see why people were posting its not that deep of a game. Why should you have an increased chance to win when you're outnumbered? You're outnumbered either because they killed your teammates or because they're mobbing you while ignoring the rest of your team. Either of these scenarios do not require Revenge as a solution.

If the enemy killed your teammates, they deserve to have the overwhelming advantage that affords because they were better. If they're mobbing you and ignoring your team, they're leaving points undefended and opening themselves up to getting collapsed on.

Revenge only lasting a short time and being relatively simple to work around only strengthens the case for it being a pointless mechanic that should be removed. Its only point is to coddle casual babbys who get upset when they lose.

TL;DR: Revenge isn't overpowered or even that useful, it's just annoying and bad game design.

In any map, you should always be wary of guardbreaks. In ledges you must always assume your opponent will try to do it

You nerds are just used to the "defensive" class being Conqueror, and he is shit tier.

Warlord is about as same as Warden in terms of power level. Those two are the golden standard to what characters SHOULD be: Powerful, but not overbearing.

The problem is that Kensei, Conqueror, Shugoki, and Raider are fucking shit, so they make Warlord look "overpowered".

The Warlord is nowhere near as good as Peacekeeper, Nobushi, or Orochi.

Not if they are against equal or more skilled opponents. It is possible to delay and even win a 2v1 without revenge, using skill. If they commit 3 people to attack one person/point, they are losing two other points. None of these scenarios require a magical one-button power up to deal with.

If they want Honor, then they shouldn't try to emulate pitched medieval battles with a combat system designed for 1v1 'honorable' combat.

It's a game mechanic designed to help a guy who is being ganked in order to promote non-gank tactics. Saying it shouldn't exist because if you were more skilled you can take on 4 attackers from all sides at once is retarded, because in any equal skill level match the 4 will win every time. The infinite combo is not really useful against non-shitters, but what is useful is that it can be started very fast from any direction. I barely block and mostly dodge, and after every dodge I usually follow with a combo. If they are good players and tend to block, then guard break in the middle of it and continue the combo.

There's a difference between certain classes having unique abilities which can be played around, and a magical one-button powerup that anyone can use.

You're also putting words in my mouth. I said you can delay or win a 2v1. I'm well aware a 3v1 or greater is almost impossible to win. I don't think it should be winnable, either; in a pitched battle you would get shit on 4v1 no matter how skilled you are.

Your point about them running back to other points is one I share, and it's another part of the game having bad design. Revenge is a band-aid solution for a problem caused by the maps being so small. If the maps were larger, then sending 3+ people to capture one point would mean they had to run back farther to capture the other points, making the sacrificing of the ganked player worthwhile in the long run.

The problem is, all the casual babbys playing the game want to pretend they're Hercules and would get butthurt if they had to die to win the game, so instead of good design they just band-aided the issue and also saved asset space by making tiny maps.

Revenge mode gives me more opportunity to hold them there when they 4v1, i always die in the end but generally it's long enough for my team to take the other two points and gain a massive lead. But that's my point. If the enemy commits 3+ people to killing one person they will lose the other points. This should happen without the need for Revenge, because either they are stupid/bad and cause this scenario themselves, or you are skilled enough to sufficiently delay them so your team can capitalize on it. All Revenge does is artificially create a delay where it should require skill.

You running into 4 people should result in them killing you for running into a massive disadvantage and capitalizing on it, not you getting to artificially delay them for a few more seconds because you pressed one button.

I'm terrible at this game. 30% winrate and I didn't know why. Thought about it a bit and realized its because I'm always the first one to completely run out of stamina. I rushed in and did a lot of damage but I'd get combo'd to death instantly afterwards in pretty much every match. What should I be doing to conserve my stamina?

You need to feint to bait out the dodge attack, and then in theory you can easily parry that into huge damage.

Other than that, I'd just make sure to try and counter their guard breaks and get off some of your own. Trying to just attack an Orochi won't work, because they have loldodgeattack.
