Rogue has two cycle cards - Shiv and Fan of Knives. Only Fan sees play right now. Sprint is 7 Mana on a deck that if it's playing fast will run out of cards by turn 4 or 5.

Essentially all of Rogue card draw comes from Auctioneer and neutral cards like Azure Drake.

Auctioneer probably should rotate out at some point, but only if Rogue got reworked to not need it so badly anymore. That's not happening anytime soon.

Problem with the classic set though is that so many decks are just that, classic cards. You're always going to see Sylvanas, Firey War Axe, Tirion, alexstrasza, Ragnaros, etc.

in the shitter ranks (17-15) I keep running into players with golden portraits and almost all golden decks. Like a Reno Mage with golden Reno, Solia, Medivh, Antonidas, etc. Or this one Reno Lock with golden Jaraxxus, Leeroy and so on.

I'm playing some pretty terrible meme decks but somehow still manage wins off these guys - the misplays are terrible. How can you play so long to have golden heroes + spend enough cash to get a deck full of golden legos and adventure cards and still be so bad? This even extends to overpowered cards like Shredder and Dr. Boom. There are several ways you can make them balanced and still good cards.

For Shredder, I'd change the death rattle to "Summon a random 2-mana minion from your opponent's deck" and make it a 4/4. Now you've got a sturdier base minion but a larger chance to have it whiff on the deathrattle.

For Dr. Boom I think a straight nerf was needed. The flavor text of the card should have been literal - when you summon Dr. Boom, there's a 25-50% chance the bots will explode and target Boom. Bam, now it's no longer an auto-include at 7 mana.

Wild in Hearthstone is not the same as Legacy in MTG, because this game tends towards unidirectional strategies.
