I currently have an a9lh'ed N3DS XL. I want to buy a white N3DS (not XL) and all I could find is the Jap one. Are there no US versions of these? If yes, is it worth it to just region change it after hacking? What are things that you can do when region switching a 3DS and also, do I need to sacrifice one 3DS for doing so?

And thats where I need to ask how to setup neek2o on my vWii (which apparently IS virtually 100% compatible). I heard theres a build that works for the WiiU but its apparently you cant download it legit.

The Vita is still being worked on. Yifan Lu is working on getting level 0 access, which will completely break the system open. If he does it, the scene should explode. Again, "should" is the keyword.

I got mine very cheap as soon as I heard the discontinuation rumors first began, around the same time Huehax happened AND the vWii hacking method that doesn't require any game.

Although I've yet to find a hard drive with its own power-feed or a Y cable yet, I'm enjoying myself using USB pendrives so far.

I never imagined Splatoon was so fun. Also based CFW Booter for eShop releases and DLC.

Got my wii games on mine, make sure you hack your vwii as well. Nintendont works fine and I got all my gcube games.

My hard drive uses 1 cable and it works fine. WD passport ultra.

You can get a cheap 2.5 hard drive on ebay 320gb and a 8 dollar hard drive enclosure from amazon that works fine and comes with a Y-cable. My WD passport ultra has all my ps2 games and gamecube and wii.

Now may backlog is even bigger.

Here's the one I got, I use a 2.5 laptop hard drive in a hard drive enclosure with a ycable for wii u games. Then that drive for all my gamecube and wii games. Yeah I hard to turn off power saving mode and download the utility. Pain in the ass but it works.

Format the drive, use the utility to turn off power saving, create a games folder and copy a gamecube game into discex and then copy it to games and use your loader of choice.

Usbloader will not read my WBFS games but wiiflow will. But wiiflow looks like shit.

For Vita, anything above 3.60 is unhackable, yeah? And new games will/do require the firmware to be above?

Guys working on the Jap voices undub for DQ8 released their ~95% complete undub for testing on GBAtemp
Some guy on 3DSISO took it, uploaded to 3DSISO, put behind AdFly links, claimed as his own and being part of the dev team and proceeded to forbid anyone else from uploading it to 3DSISO.
Some guy noticed, asked a question what gives, then the devs themselves came in, shitstorm and namecalling ensued, the guy who stole got banned with all his posts and threads deleted, then unbanned after devs asked to unban him and just have his links removed.
Then mods deleted everyone's posts, so dev team got mad about it being nazi germany or something and said that if posts are being deleted and people banned despite only requesting to take down the links, they wont post anything ever anymore on 3DSISO

I a9lh'd the 2ds of a friend last week, but some games frecuently crash with the "an error has ocurred forcing the software to close. the console will restart. unsaved data will be lost" message.

Yes you can use what ever you want. All it's actually doing is converting the sata and power to a USB mini b. Which then you use the usb mini b cord to y cable.

It just acts as a external hard drive, you can format it to whatever you want. Be warned though if you dont know how to format a hard drive fo ruse then you shouldn't buy one of these. Make sure you have all the files in the root of the SD card, like the 3ds folder and the other thingy that comes with it in the starter pack, the otherapp.bin and the mp4 should all be in the root. Make sure you dont have any typo in the otherapp.bin title. Then retry. If it doesnt work, then just retry, also is your mp4 for the correct region? And is your otherapp up to date and correct version? Just backtrack and check all is well

You need to zero the id.dat and make it read only with https://github.com/SMOKE5/memcardswap/releases first, then you can switch the memory card between the 3.61 PSTV and the 3.60 Vita without needing to format it.

Huehax runs flawlessly and allows for online play and free DLC. Loadiine loading times are attrocious and there's no assurance BotW will work.

The latency is negligible unless you're playing fighters or rhythm games anyway. I own a TN top/bottom and this also happens on those too. It's extremely noticeable when you're trying to make themes for your 3DS. And forget about undubs, romhacks, VC games and the like since those are not on freeShop period
Generally you also want to use roms that match the region of your 3DS, with matching DLC, otherwise you need to use Luma's region emulation feature to use DLC when playing game out of your region.
There's also some games with more intricate region lock protection like Dragon Quest VIII which also require region emulation to even play the game itself.

For romhacks, custom CIAs, undubs and shit your best bets will always be 3DSISO and 3dsChaos

I just dug out my old o3ds with 9.2 emunand and wanted to upgrade to a9lh, thing is that i skimmed through the guide beforehand and it says that corrupted SDs cause bricks (which mine is)
Would it be better to format it completely and update to 11.2 to start from zero?

I don't think there will be another portable system from Nintendo like the 3DS. I think the Switch is meant to replace that entirely.
Think about it, the Switch is portable, perhaps a bit huge, but it works. I swear the next step will be a smaller, more portable version of the Switch to completely kill the idea for a new 3DS successor.

yes. I was running rxtools/cakes when I decided to upgrade. SD was for sure corrupt, so I bought a brand new 64, formatted and started from scratch.

didn't even bother to dump my emunand. started clean and fresh and took only a few hours to have all my games installed again.

Hey, I bought an used 3DS and it is in perfect condition from the outside. BUT, my issue is that the charging is a bit fucky. It started off with me having to fuck about with the cable so it would start loading. Then I had to keep it on a level surface, now it loads only when the system is upside down.

Could this be the charging dock thats loose from the motherboard and getting connection only when upside down, or could there be another reason. Afaik, the handheld was bought in 2014 as the old SD card had some pictures from then on. I did also hack it already but the charging issues happened already before.

Nah. Nintendo designs with Japanese consumer in mind. The Switch is far too big to be considered a portable device in Japan.

This thing will find success, but I just don't see a large % of consumers taking this thing outside. It's like their definition of portable is something you can easily move around the home, or take to a friend's house. Not something you pull out on the bus, or while having a coffee at starbucks. Portable, but with an asterisk behind it.

What's the point in streaming the new 3DS via NTR if the stream quality's like a potato? Is there something I'm missing about the attraction of the exercise?
