The issue is a lack of content. They can put renewal in later. They need to add more shit to do first instead of listening to whiners all the time. Nothing good has ever come of it anyway, and whatever they're doing to defense won't be an exception.

They also said they're going over all of the old content, changing monster spawn rates, what spawns on maps and how many enemies work. Of course the game will always need more content, this is true for all MMOs. And I suspect IMC will probably continue developing more content, it just takes time.

You won't be taking 1s from everything anymore, at best just a certain % of damage is reduced. For pvp, this makes all the nuaele whales commit sudoku. For pve, this makes wiz top DPS again.

Defence wont be a flat reduction anymore, it's going to be percentage based. Which means it's going to either have a cap or diminishing returns.

What this means is if you got 8 nuaele cards and 5000 mdef, you will no longer take 1 damage from anyone with less than 5000 base damage (matk+skills base). It means 5000 mdef might translate into 75% damage reduction.

More defence will obviously still be better, but it wont be possible to negate damage anymore.

What he means is, mobs will be capable of damaging you when this change happens even if you got insane defence. No more taking 1 damage from everything.

The same patch also says they are removing bonuses/penalties for level differences. Which means no more being immune to low level mobs.

It'll make farming low level dungeons harder because you wont be effectively invincible anymore. Stuff in the dungeon will be able to hurt you.

No, the game doesn't need that, your stupid fucking minigame needs that. Outside of PvP know what classes actually get used? Classes with very high amounts of multihits in a large area like Pyro, SR3, and PD2, which are staples on a ton of ET teams, or multihit single target classes for world bosses like Fencer and Fletcher. The only high base damage skill that is even good in PvE is Dethrone and that's largely because of the huge AoE and low CD, those problematic PvP skills like blood curse, malleus, and pears are ok in PvE but don't dominate it like multihits do.

So what if my skill does 10 hits? I go to get 3200 damage for it to hurt anything and even then it does 2 damage per hit.
Even if I get my weapon to +15 and transcend it to stage 10, thanks to mobs having 3000+ mdef, it's like I'm hitting them for about 2500 damage per hit.

Oh no! I do 10 hits at 2500 damage. Heaven forbid I do this while swordsmen are throwing out attacks that hit the damage cap constantly.

You got to remember, Agni is added after defence is calculated, not before.
If you got 1000 defence and someone has 3000 damage then fireballs will do (3000 - 1000) * 3.8 damage, or 7600 damage.
If 1000 defence is equal to say 50% damage reduction, then it will instead be (3000/2) * 3.8 or 5700 damage.
But against someone with 500 damage, right now they'd deal 1 to you, but after they'd deal 950 damage.

Remember. Percentage defence is a nerf to high base damage including transcended weapons. But it's a buff to low base damage (including people with trash gear).
It's also a nerf to people with 20 nuaele cards and 10 star yellow gems sat on 5k of each defence or something retarded.

What should they even do about money? increasing it on monsters would make peopel whine more, so I kind of feel like they should remove it from out of dungeon monsters altogether. Like have only monsters in instances drop money and lower the amount bosses like in 290 drop. In exchange, items and recipes dropped could sell for more and have more uses.

Unrelated though just now, what if instead of arde like daggers, it was possible to put between 1 and 50% of a dagger's damage as elemental damage. That way other daggers would be useful and you could upgrade them to have lots of damage.

sapper 3 = +700 flat broom damage, shitty +5 claymore levels, shitty +5 collar bomb levels and spiked shoot that has a huge cooldown and bad damage

scout 1 = flare shot 5 that does a lot of multihits and has the same cooldown and duration as broom trap. so you do 2x more multihits which means a much higher dps as long as you physical dps scales, plus cloaking and barrel

gung ho 3 for the attribute that is amazing
max pain, max restrain, lv 3 bash for the knockdown.

optional lv 1~5 double slash for easier leveling at sw3, not really necessary. optional lv 1 thrust if they nerf composee somehow (put a cooldown) or possible r9 shinobi if epee works with it. I suggest you to go almost everything into concentrate and save 2 points at least. unlike other multipliers, PEE GARDE DOES WORKS WITH CONCENTRATE ANDBLESSING so it'sa decent boots when you're alone and don't care for buffslots.

Pelt: max swash, lv 1 guardian for the evasion. Optional guard 5 for maximum def (at the cost of not having gung ho up and some % from your attack stats. not big deal but after the change to def/magic def lv 1 is okay already, but since they pretend to rework damage formula... save skill points). lv 1 the other skills for stagger/knockdow/fun

Corsair: max iron hook. Lv 2 flag at least for the attribute (but I recommend 5 for the pillage and the rework). Lv 1 dust devil for the soft CC (and to break cat's rush if you go pvp), also helps leveling before you reach fencer 2.

Fencer skills: depends on how you feel. Lv 5 (7 venier) compose is the limit to sustain the spam with lv 15 potions without party support with a good ping. I like to max all c3 skills, each one has a use. leftovers: lunge 3 at least for the evasion (50 on venier), but sitll optional. late game will invest so much on composee attributes that lunge will be a waste, still good to buff doppelbros dps and to help leveling (slash debuff) you can put more points into it if you want too.

coquille lv 3 = true 100% uptime with venier, but more levels into it increases your dps since you'll need to refresh it less so more time to spam composee.

sept is amazing but scales like shit, lv 1 is enough, all damage come from your stats, not the skill itself.preparation lv 1 is enough for the buff

guardian is okay imo, but it's a overkill after the last change. I mean, you can't have guardian and gung ho up at the same time so better go all in when really needed, right? Venier attack is so low that you won't get a big cut on dps with guardian 5. Even so, I suggest saving for now.

Coquille 3 is the minimum. Theoretically 2 + venier has 100% upçtime already but we all know how tos handles buff/debuff duration lol, you'll need that extra 1 second.

Not him. It's not wrong to max but it depends on the content you're tackling. For general gameplay like soloing dailies/rushes, you end up losing dps with max composee.

If it's a dedicated minmax fencer used for demon lords and guild raids, then maxing is nice assuming 100% melstis uptime. However, even with melstis you will still run out of sp after 5~6 lv15 pots (assuming good ping), but popping a keista can fix that. t. fencer who has fought blut with lv1, 5 and 10 composee

The numbers are kinda good but I doubt it's gonna really be absurd. In PvE you're giving up a rank for a bunch of defensive stats you shouldn't need since the meta is ausrine and melstis. In PvP you are relying on a 5 min CD buff when gohei is a thing.

In GvG it might be legit though since you start far enough away to get it up and you can keep your distance from clerics easier.

Is there anything that makes enemies weaker to dark damage? There's too many dark skills and dark enemies to not have something like that.
