I have seen the same dark cancer team but with Kirin instead (even more paralysis, stacking it with serestia).

Serestia/Ravian and Serestia/Kirin are worse than old OHKO EBM stacking Sharr, old ravian, and ardor cancer at their worse. They are exploiting AI like never before. Your entire team just shots down and goes passive, even the attackers.

but boy does this neverending debate about 3 irrelevant mono colors pecking order (thunder, ww and ardor) get old when 50% of teams i can look up from top of pvp ranking are mono-dark and almost every other is either hard rainbow or dark+1 combinations. I've yet to even find mono-ardor or mono-ww and only HHHKX's ridic mono-thunder lineup prevents me from saying I've seen none of them.

I think monodark is the strongest right now when it comes to damage and bullshit, though Presty outside of rainbow is far easier to KO but her 4min paralysis is still a game changer. Monolight only with Jibril to be relevant, but I wouldn't doubt monodark can still fight on par with them, monoww really needs Duran+Aiolos to shine otherwise it isn't that strong. MonoArdor and monoThunder packs lots of damage but their GK on-color overall are weak so I don't consider them a danger

Nera doesn't counter attack. She only steals. She will steal when you pen through her, except EC units/BI/Milky/Gaphyl/everyone else with invincibility frames when they attack, or she will take your head off with a steal except units that has invincibility frames when being attacked like; Battalion Elaine.

The calculations go by base hp, so if they lower your base hp to 50%, all the ace/position buffs will buff that value

But even with hp aces it would take 2 honorable vow players per line just to coutner this. You owuld have to gut your team and put in off-color hp totems just to approach full strength.

The HP cancer teams get to use virgil in back (one of best backline player even without hp debuff), meta mid (best CM in game), plus VF and alice as needed. They make zero compromise to their team an and are not restricted by ace to pull of the 50%HP debuff.

There is no disadvantage to running it, but you completely wreck your team just trying to counter it.
