Alright, I have a plan of action. We (/srg/) need to acquire mod status on as many speedgames as possible. Do whatever you can to infiltrate as many games as possible. When a new memegame is coming out, make it on speedrun.com and snatch up mod before any manchildren can. My proposal is to always reject any submitted run by fags/marxists/trannies/degenerates. People have no where to start. If you made a top 10 list of "easy to get into" speedruns then people might be willing to try.

Then compliment that list by having resources and tutorials including step by step guides on how to do the speedruns while being entertaining I think people would watch.

Those 2 things are really why speedrunning blew up. I think people are started to get tired of the choking on a regular basis which is why a lot of the ragers don't grow as channels. Streaming is cancerous so offline content might be useful since it lets you craft more thought provoking commentary since you have hindsight. A lot of speedrunners have really bad commentary because they're focused on the run.

ok so follow along with me. we as a group pick out a game. we find the current route and look it over to see if there are any improvements/new glitches. once we are satisfied with the route, every single one of us do a run and submit it to speedrun.com. we then use the notes gathered to either: make a video tutorial or a gamefaqs style text tutorial.

now here is where the fun begins. if we have enough people in on this, we can bully out the stupid categories on games. we can become the majority of these "communities" and demand they remove categories that make no sense and remove rules that make no sense. we can make every game have only two categories: any% and 100%. we could even try to get moderator status in these shit community games.

we can make speedrunning great again by standardizing it. REMOVE arbitrary categories. REMOVE arbitrary rules. REMOVE corrupt leadership in these communities.

If one has any sense or ability to judge character, it is extremely obvious that cosmo is taking this into some sort of OCD disorder. Im no psychologist so I cant quite name it, but its there. Sort of similar to how some people cope with trauma Y by doing X completely unrelated. For example those people that lose family or get btfo in some way in their life and start not cleaning up after their dog because of irrational fear it mmight kill the pet. Let it shit and shed a new carpet. That sort of broken OCD.

since there is nothing substantial to lose by getting your time beat in speedrunning now, there should be no reason to be upset with someone stealing your route. however now that people associate fame and fortune with having the world record in games, some people are getting a bit angry at the ones who steal and don't credit it because they lost out on the chance for that fame and fortune.
