So I picked up this game Tuesday and beat the Normal/Pacifist route. Holy shit, that was a trip. The game was good but it was so creative, so colorful, so well expressed! The mechanics were ingenious and written magnificently! I can see why this game has been accredited so well. I will say it was a tad shorter than I thought, but appropriately priced. I just have a few questions if someone could clue me in.
1.How do I get in that secret door before Snowdin?
2.Did <inputted name> fall down the mountain the same way Frisk did? I think that's what they said, but I am unsure
3.Why could Asriel destroy the barrier with the 6 human souls when Asgore tried to acquire 7?
4.Did Asgore and Toriel get back together? Or were they just working together at that school at the end? Or unconfirmed?
5.Should I bother with the genocide route? I know it has more bosses and enemies to fight, but I honestly don't know if I have the heart for it after that.

No, they did not get back together in the credits, Toriel probably still has very strong negative feelings still

If you want to experience some interesting character developement and things that actually bring out some good characteristics of certain characters, sure. But it's a grind.

2.yes, the cutscene at the end was actually of (insert name here) who we call 'chara' and is also the opening cutscene as well.
3.asgore wanted to give his people hope and by collecting 7 souls he could break the barrier.
asriel had 6 souls PLUS all of the monsters souls in the underground which is equivalent to 1 soul, meaning he had the equivalent of 7 souls
4.headcanon stuff, you can think they did or didn't, up to interpretation. so its unconfirmed.

5. fair shout to the genocide route, it's got some neat background and you see some of the characters in their finest moments. it is a bit of a grind though but it shouldnt be that long and the atmosphere is quite different plus all of the dialog. maybe give it some time before you attempt to do it if you still love the characters with all your heart still
