pistols are utility
>Most common complaint about XCOM 2 is that the combat revolves entirely on alpha striking
>LW2 fixes this
Hey coo-
>But the optimal way to play is to literally never fire a shot
LW2 is trash.
Why you guys say there is no pirate version of long war 2? I found one.
>>166148746
>boo-hoo now I have to actually setup opportunities for good shots instead of just nuking the pod from orbit
What mod do you guys use to add Resistance DLC armor options to normal kevlar and beyond? I can't find one that includes them
I just want my dirtied XCOM EW armor repost
>>166149095
>You in charge of reading comprehension
I literally said them nerfing alpha striking was good you dumb fucking inbred.
Let me expand so your tiny, negroidic mind can follow.
The biggest problem with XCOM 2 was that combat had 0 depth. It was kill or be killed in 1 turn. People wanted the protracted firefights of LW1 that allowed for maneuver and tactics. Destroying terrain, suppression, flanking, flashbanging, chem nades, etc.
Well, LW2 did that. And thats good. Gatecrasher was a blast, getting to have a multi-turn firefight in XCOM 2. It was thrilling and it was challenging. I couldn't wait to keep playing and see what new possibilities would arise from new maps, new enemies and new items.
And then it turns out that the only way to play most missions due to the enormous size of maps and seemingly unchanged timers is to send the smallest possible squad and speedrun to avoid every enemy possible.
See the problem?
People didn't bemoan XCOM 2's lack of stealth. They bemoaned the combat. LW2's brilliant solution was to fix the combat but then make it something you ACTIVELY want to avoid. The feature everyone was most excited for is the one will optimally experience the least.
The whole point of LW2 is to avoid playing LW2. Its a speedrunning game, not a tactical combat game.
pistols are useful
If anyone is interested, heres a small list of custom characters I've made.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/tlhbhdwkjppbbud/My%20Stuff.bin?dl=0
All you need is CapnBubs Accessories, Custom Face Paints, Xcom 2 International Voices Pack, and GrimStyleArmor
Anybody else think that Infiltration is kind of fucked right now? I'm passing up missions left and right but generally it seems that the only way to get anywhere close to 100% infiltration is to only send 4 soldiers, which makes anything other than an "Extremely Light" baseline next to impossible. And choosing to load up your squad and do almost no infiltration isn't much better, especially when the timers are so restrictive and the map is filled with pods.
>>166148521
Kevlar for playable sneks when?
How many faceless, voiceless soldiers do you have on your squad?
>>166149790
That's the curse of the Long War team. They have tons of great ideas but they're disgustingly awful at balance and will make the game literally impossible because muh challenge
>>166149542
Xcom 2 lore is that you lost and you're now a guerilla. The whole thing is that you have to pick your fights wisely. You can skip a pod, but you're risking getting it on your ass later on. You can sneak out a VIP out of a city pretty easily, but by doing that you're not leveling up anyone and ADVENT will eventually get tired of your shit. And many mission types cannot be done 100% hidden

what to do in this situation: throw a grenade and hope it kills a few of them, flashbang them all, or overwatch ambush?
>>166151516
Flashbang, most of them will run to the car for cover. Grenade car.
Sooo... I got a few lucky missions and got a lead to some sort of network tower (or whatever it is). But the thing is I dont even have sergants yet. Nor lazor rifles. Should I try to do it? Or is it really hard and I'm gonna get fucked?

No.
I love LW1 and still realize LW2 is shit no one asked for. Neither here nor
did anyone ever say the game needed more reliance on stealth.
You faggots have to be doing something wrong if you're having this much trouble with long dong 2.
I can barely beat a commander ironman game on X2 and I'm having a pretty easy time with it on veteran.

facility sabotage
since people said my original game was bugged because of my operators not returning after a mission, I lost my decent stat xeno-phile me
Any easy ways to cheat through gatecrasher so I can try to get me back through the rng? Dont really want to spend 10-15 minutes during the op only to get the wrong/no potential
>Supply raid
>5 days till expire
>Mid-lite enemy force
Dropped 25 intel on it, only had to kill 19 enemies.
Now I've got gauss guns coming and the tier two armor done.
I still haven't seen any avatar project progress or been able to attack the blacksite.

Play on Rookie your first time, no exceptions
Get tactical, equip silencers, leave the hot stuff at home
Some missions require stealth
Some missions require flame throwers
Infiltrate beyond 100%
Know thy enemy
Don't be afraid to evac
Don't be afraid to abort missions
Always move up
Not every enemy must die
Not every soldier must live
If you're bitching there's 8 pods and twelve turns, then leave the mission.
Not every target is a good one
This is not LONG WAR 1
>>166155841
Rreeee, share this shit with me please
The worst thing about long dong 2 is that hacking a door or container reveals your operative.
Why is this a thing?
>>166157064

The playable Snek mods don't allow you to customize them at all, right?

Does the playable aliens mod not work in the character pool? I've replaced the viper model with the kevlar one but it just shows up like this.
>>166160087
Play rookie to get a good high going then play legendary to send you crashing down?
>>166160193
it does not, unfortunately, you'd have to get it in game
Just use console commands/quick start mod
Give yourself 3 viper corpses
Do the Viper Autopsy
then you can make a viper
Sorry for the complications
>>166160087
How far into the LW2 campaign did you get?

is there a lw2 compatable commander's choice mod?
>>166160518
Yes.
>enemy is flanked

>>166160932
Hunker Down is a legitimate strategy if you're flanked and need to use 1 of your moves on something else. If all he did was Hunker Down then I don't know what to tell ya.
>>166161218
yeah but how the fuck does crouching under cover make you less vulnerable from the flank

I'm getting fucked hard by LW2. Between the timers, my troops constantly getting mind-controlled, and there being a ton of enemies despite thorough infiltration, I haven't been able to complete missions.
Any tips? Should I just knock the difficulty down to "Pussy"? Do I really have to just rush the objective? I keep trying that and I get fucked every time.

Wasn't that bad.
>>166168660
I think a little more, they're a lot trickier necromancers too.
>>166168862
They even necro stuff before being triggered. I'm pretty sure spotting corpses also puts them in an alert state. Or at least hearing combat I'm not sure which is happening there.
how do faceless spy missions work?
How do I tell if Long War 2 is working? Should there be a LW2 splash screen or anything? I have it in my mod folder, but nothing says Long War 2 when I load up.
Yeah, I am pretty much brand new to XCOM. I played vanilla for a couple hours and then ragequit because I was being shot through solid walls and ceilings. I read LW2 alters the AI so figured I'd give it a shot before just quitting entirely.
>>166169162
You're dropped in with the haven commander + 4 generic rookies. I've done two so far, both had 2 pods of ~4 ayys + one faceless. You have to clear the map

it should say "Long war 2" on the campaign button and gatecrasher changes to an assault on a troop column

Definitely screwed that one up, I tried to stealth to the objective when I should have just gone hot right away. 4th mission was a flawless 7 men assault to recover a data cache.
So far I am enjoying it, and choosing squad comps is pretty fun.

You're literally supposed to being doing these things though.
Especially the first two.
Pre-launch testers have said that you might find yourself dropping more missions than you actually take.
Do what you want though, babe. You're not a casual because you don't like timers.
It is worth to send 1-2 soldiers on a 2 days infiltration just to evac and get some experience? there are bad consequences for failing missions instead of ignoring them?

>actually slim fit jeans that aren't two sizes too long.
So it was only in the concept art then, nice.
Going to ask this again;
Would you rather have Turn Timers, or a system that apply penalties over time? Like the Green Fog in Long War 1, where Aim and Will would degrade after each turn.
Doesn't need to be that penalty, and it could just start taking effect after what the turn counter would count down to.
>>166177986
Don't think they get experience for failing/abandoning a mission.
Also kill XP is SIGNIFICANTLY decreased whereas mission complete XP is significantly boosted, in LW2.
>>166177986
It's not very effective. You only get up to 50% of a successful mission's exp, assuming you get a lot of kills.

>>166180307
Skip the mission. Don't send all those brave soldiers to their deaths.
You know, since so many(all?) timer missions happen on cities, they should've made it so that you can hack those advent sensor lamposts for a guaranteed timer increase, kinda like those bomb things in EU and EW, you even have to weigh pros and cons since hacking breaks concealment.
On top of that you could also make it so that once you call firebrand, they start dropping reinforcements, or maybe just make it so that they bring in reinforcements if the timer runs out.
Or a mechanic where your soldiers getfatiguedthe longer they spend on a mission and some of their stats start dropping, maybe will and mobility the longer you spend on the mission.
Or maybe you could have the true concealment mod effect if you infiltrate 100% or above.
I don't know, just throwing ideas, i hate timers the way they are right now.
I just started Long War and I got this grenade bug, even though I don't have any mod affecting icons or grenades.

It says baseline extremely light. Plus it's a general question too, is there a penalty to fielding a large squad if you don't have time to infiltrate either way?
>>166180598
it's doable with t1, though lasers make it far easier
bring as many explosives as possible to clear out the shark bodies so your escape is easier, blow up the whale chest to slow down the spawn rate once you're there, and overwatch to hell and back
when the timer starts with the shark corpses cleared you should be safe apart from the chryssalids spawning from the corpse
>>166179392
While I don't think Timers are difficult at all I 100% agree with the sentiment that it forces you into the same strategy over and over which is aggressively rush forward and alpha strike pods
Which I will also admit that such strategy was starting to get tiring towards the end of my first full playthrough and I was valuing missions without timers more and more just because it let me actually get creative. Stomping Ayys over and over again can be fun if I have the room to try different ways of doing it and this was made worse by how strong Grenadiers were in Vanilla.
A system like continuously increasing levels of reinforcements after you break concealment would've worked alot better at keeping the pressure on you and preventing you from taking 1 move then OW'ing (because if you kept doing this the reinforcements would just start overwhelming you)
The thing is that Long War 2 so far as I can tell had reinforcements come in after every 2 or few turns after being revealed on most of my missions so far. I don't know yet if they ramp up.
But it begs the question on why they may have implemented something like this but left timers in. Because for Long Dong 2 having the timers still in after I've done about 8 missions now has already made it apparent this early that its still railroading you into the same strategy; except now its either: kill some/most enemies, get objective, run or kill nothing, get objective, run.
In both of those situations you're still stuck on the same strategy of always hyper-aggressively pushing. Theres no room for variance.
I love this game and LW2 but its got this glaring flaw thats not a question of difficulty but enjoyment. Its benefit is it does force you to get good at swift strikes but once you're good at it you just stomp everything but still don't have the room to try anything new. Now that I'm already starting to feel the monotony of it again I'm considering turning off timers for the first time. To havefun
>>166180729
Yes, the less infiltrated you are the more enemies you will encounter.
And since there are 4 hours left, you're going to be 0% infiltrated, so in your case that mission is already fucked, unless you think you can take out 30+ ayys with a full squad, in which case do it.
>>166180598
If you have 3 engineers to bring, the mission is in the bag. Should be pretty easy with 2 too. Rocketeers are a mediocre choice, assaults, engis, infantry, medics all contribute more to that mission. Probably even plain shotgun scouts.

mission timers should be replaced with a reinforcement timers
let's brainstorm on how to fix timers:
1) keep the crashed UFO & Retaliation missions as is (maybe spread the pods out so that they aren't packed around the UFO computer console, and maybe add more civilians to the Retaliation missions)
2) all other timed missions get a flat 12 turn timer
3) the timer activates on certain mission triggers, like if the enemy is alerted to your presence, or hacking a prison door/data cache, but not having a high enough hack score/rank to open a door or data cache without triggering an alarm
3) the timer only loses a turn if you attempt to damage/disable one or more enemies on a single turn. this let's you explore and scout a map, while also somewhat punishing squadsight "snipe ayys from across the map" cheese
4) the timer is converted to a reinforcement timer instead of a mission loss timer
5) timed maps now have a comm satellite/console that can be disabled so that ADVENT can't call for reinforcement. hacking the satellite lets you keep concealment, while destroying it with brute force you lose concealment
so very tempting
>>166180752
haha i've done this plenty of times before. i was just looking for a fun squad comp.
>>166181009
yeah rocketeers are so mediocre this early. just gonna dump CCS assaults and engies everywhere and see how it goes.
>>166181626
As a reinforcement timer only triggered by revealing I would reduce it to 8 across the board if not lower. 12 is fine with a hard fail state like normal but I think 8 is ok for something thats just going to make things harder instead of failing the mission outright.

I disagree with this. If it operated like that it would become a non-issue.
On a prison break mission, do I have to use the predetermined extraction point? I still have the option to call skyranger and I'm wondering if I can use that. (LW2)
>>166171173
Glad it's not just me
How useful is it to put people on Supply jobs anyway? I find most of my already small income gets stolen, whereas if I just go all out on recruitment/intel then I can at least get free personnel (just got a free scientist month 2) and/or multiple supply raid missions. Thats another thing I've noticed, supply raids don't really give you as much as they did in vanilla, but you can get a LOT of them in rapid succession.
The Alien Ruler weapons didn't get Laser/Coil variations, right? Even if the Alien Rulers feel a bit out of place, I fell in love with the Bolt Caster, and I'm going to be saddened if it can't entirely keep up with my other weapons.
>get hit with a bleeding out soldier near the objective
>plenty of time left in the mission, drop the evac signal
>realise that she's going to bleed out right as the skyranger arrives
Fuck man. I guess you need to plan your evac in advance and place it down during combat if need be. It's a free action anyway, isn't it?

I think the devs said they didn't do anything with the DLCs. I enabled Alien Hunters on my campaign, idk if I'm actually brave enough to do the nest. At least I got the frost bomb for cheesing tough spots.
I kinda wish LW2 would of toned down all the timer missions. Five missions in a row I've stealthed extracted the VIP to the EVAC without engaging any pods because fighting them would take too much time.

Gonna report it on the forum, but in the meanwhile does anyone have any suggestion?
>>166183985
Reload a save. I really hope you're not playing on Ironman with a brand new mod.
So the goal of the timer is to prevent stealth missions turning into firefights. The problem is that they're so tight you're not so much sneaking to objectives as running through them. But if timers are made even slightly longer, killing your way through becomes viable, since wiping a pod can be done quickly with the proper composition.
So why not just slow the speed timers tick down at during concealment? You start with 20 turns instead of 12, but as soon as you break concealment any remaining time is halved.

So?

It depends on what you're defending.

Timers that actually fit the XBox Huge new maps.
or
Soft timers like increasing reinforcements.
Tell me in a week if autistically sneaking a Shinobi/small squad of Shinobis to objectives over and over again is fun.
Its fucking XCOM. Its a tactical combat game and LW2 encourages you to never, ever fucking fight. Like Beagle said in the post linked earlier:
"god forbid, a multi-turn fight where you actually play the game for once"
>>166184940
First things first that many enemies already encourages guerrilla warfare because you're not going to safely kill them all the majority of the time. Pushing to take out what you need and leave, the timers current function isn't needed to reinforce that as the threat of the enemy already does.
Now as for the timers function many people have already suggested a reinforcement system that ramps up the longer you take AFTER you're revealed from concealment. This way you have a threat to keep that sense of urgency while allowing more flexibility in strategy since it's not race to avoid a hard instant mission failure, instead being faced with a more difficult situation that you're still capable of managing.

You know what else would fit the theme? The ADVENT world government, with the entire planet's and the alien's resources at its disposal, sending in 5000 planes to blanket the starting zone and shoot down the Avenger.

>everyone who wants infinite reinforcements instead of timers
As if mr. Magnificent could make that fun either.
It would be this
>engage a pod
>after two turns reinforcements start dropping on top of your squad every single turn
>thus sneaking is still superior
Just fucking drop the timers and reinforcements both for gorilla ops.
In jailbreaks and VIPs stealth is mostly acceptable.
Like, a mission with enemies is tense already with the mechanic of them investigating. Why do we need airdrops on top of that?
What is the most tacticool cosmetic mod out there

...and the every fucking soldier of yours is wearing an outfit that looks like something robbed from burlesque warehouse that was heavily damaged when nearby factory producing cheap plastic BDSM toys exploded and then vomited over by the pack of dogs that recently drank a tank full of fluorescent paint.
Not to mention carrying a fucking gun the size of a poster pillar.
For sure nobody even notice such a figure and he can so perfectly carry out a role of low-profile, hard to spot guerrilla warrior.
>>166186586
I think cutting both timers and reinforcements would eliminate any sort of urgency in the missions and the best course of action would always always be kill EVERYTHING YOU SEE in order to get as much loot as possible. Also there would no longer be any sort of justification for you not being able to collect corpses from gorilla ops, since you now apparently have all the time in the world.

LW1 missions were tense due to difficult battles. You were rewarded for being fast with Meld. Just make something similar, additional loot boxes that already exist that reward intel/supply.
And I dont mean dropping all timed missions. LW1 had bomb missions and terrors. LW2 can have VIPs and retaliations.
Like, has everyone forgotten that firefights can be tense when enemies are coming to kill you?
Are there any penalties in xcom 2 for killing enemies with explosives like in xcom EU?
It's too bad that Firaxis decided our soldiers should look like Borderland juggalos instead of rugged soldiers battling for Earth. Most customization mods are prety bad looking

Gee I dunno, maybe because ADVENT hascontrolled the entire planet for 20 years and has its resources at its disposal?
And that they got in that position because they're the face of an alien invasion fleet that conquered the entire world in what I think was a couple months in the XCOM 2 canon?
Yeah clearly fielding a bunch of fighters and UFOs to shoot down a broken down cargo ship is far beyond their capacity.

Maybe being 100% forced to play a HYPER REALISTIC ISIS SIMULATOR isn't fun in a fucking *VIDEO GAME*. There is absolutely no way to deviate from the sneaking bullshit. You rarely even get to fire those rockets you mention.
People bitch about OW creep dominating LW1 but guess what? That is 100% player choice. I'm playing LW right now. My last 3 missions?
UFO landing where I carefully crept across the map.
Terror Mission where I had to rush through a burning city to save civilians and fight off aliens.
Abduction mission that went apeshit and I had a 5 turn firefight against every pod on the map right by the LZ.

is the lw2 monument mission the same as vanilla gatecrasher, plant and eliminate everything?
I was bitching about the constant dodge rolls but I did a google and found the LW2 explanation for how the mechanics works. Turns out, it's alot fairer than Vanilla if you know how to work it.
For those that ain't technically minded, the new system basically boils down to this:
1) Don't bother with 30% shots, 1/3 of them will graze. The reverse also works for Ayys which makes smoke more valuable
2)Graze shot will always have a chance to happen. Take your hit chances and divide by 10 (By default, can be changed in ini to 0 if you hate the new system) to find out what the chance is.
3) The Dodge stat is now a direct counter to the Crit stat. They will both neutralize each other if both roll positive.
>>166188504
No planting, just kill everything.
>>166188476
Restart steam and/or your computer
>>166188670
So soldiers in full cover shouldnt get crit?
>Activate an extra pod by accident when I'm already fighting two
>Oh shit oh shit
>They all huddle around a mini van when they activate
>Grenadier gets 6 kills with 1 grenade
god bless this improved LW2 AI.
>>166188670
It's kinda neat, how taking low% is more viable. However, I think that 100% should never graze, considering how much you have to work for an absolute guaranteed hit.
t. tired of grazed 100% shotgun shots fucking me over
>>166188843
If the hit chance is 0%, then no. If you are flanked and the crit chance is 50%, I think if you hunker down and increase your dodge (It's not remove when flanked for some reason), you cut the chance of being critically hit by half.
Which difficulty should LW2 be played on?
Is there any way to change Difficulty mid campaign?
>>166189050
What, no the LW2 system makes low% shot a terrible idea. I think hit chances can go above 100% so if you can get it to 110%, you will never graze if the opponent have 0 dodge stat.
>>166189101

Do you know if any of the Second Wave features are normal features in the old XCOM games?
Like, for example, if Red Fog is an option to toggle in XCOM 1 and 2, but is a default feature in, say, UFO Defence?
I'd like to have some consistency between the games, as I do play on trying out the older games, even though I know the latter titles are far simpler with the omission of weight and time units.
So I think alot of us can be in agreement that LW2+Commander+Disabled Timers is the patrician way of playing?

It's less about adjusting things and more about assigning voice files to triggers.
Say if you have 100 voice lines, which is a pretty small pack, you'll have to listen to each and every line and then write down what you want to assign it to and there are a lot of triggers that don't make immediate sense, because you can't easily reference the vanilla voice packs.
Here's some resources that were still floating around in my google docs back when I cared enough to make a voice pack.

Theres also information on how the normal infinite reinforcements that come in on most missions is handled. Theres a "Bucket" that when it reaches 1.0 a flight of reinforcements come in, values are added to this bucket per turn via a 1-20 roll on a set of alert modifiers (which have a higher value added to the bucket the higher the roll is) + the base bucket modifier of the mission type.

>>166220783
As its set to right now its actually on but I'm now getting why on some missions the enemy came at a rather quick pace and others they took forever. Different mission types like I mentioned have a "BucketModifier" which will have a base addition to the Bucket per turn. On on mission type it was as high as 0.5 but on alot of missions its a rather low base. So what you could do is raise the bases a bit on all types so they would come in sooner but still have unpredictable timing.

http://vocaroo.com/i/s16DoquAV2u7
>>166221605
Thats the first line that reads like that, where one big and difficult batch comes in after reveal and objective completion.
But theres ANOTHER line that I was referring to here: >>166220026 thats also has a changeable value for how soon a big and difficult batch of reinforcements comes after just REVEALING.
So you could disable timers and change the value to the length of the usual timers and have a True Concealment like system with it. The main downside I can see to this is you can only change that value on a per difficulty basis not a per mission type basis. So you'd have to settle on a hidden reinforcement timer across the board.

I haven't used them yet, but how exactly do concussion rockets work? Do they leave a cloud of smoke where you aim the rocket to or back in the position of the who fires the rocket?

someone tell me what the fuck this is about
i've gotten stuck under the avenger after every single mission since starting lw2 lol wtf why help
>>166223157
Situation: Not gud.
The distance is pretty far to the extraction but it's a straight shot, and I don't have to waste time getting the VIP out, so if I just keep moving I should be fine. I hope.
Incidentally this is my Halo-themed squad if you didn't notice.
>>166223360
Except for the skintight pants, short shorts, sports bras, armless leather jackets, facepaints and knuckle dusters.
>>166223474
boutta be a Halo Reach themed squad if you catch my drift

Calling the sky-ranger is a free action

Ah but thats where this comes in
>Reinforcement encounter schedules. Each schedule can be given a name and a list of encounters. Each reinforcement in a mission will pick the next encounter in the list. If you get to the end of the list, it will just keep spawning the final encounter over and over. The 'Default' schedule is used by default unless a mission specifies a different list.
Looking at the Encounter schedule right now, the reinforcement composition and whats in them ramps up. Starting with normal ADVENT then something referred to as OPN (I would assume this is ayys or combination of the two)
The main problem I see with the current encounter schedule is the first 3 reinforcement pods are the same number of standard ADVENT. But like all things this is adjustable by increasing the value of how many come in or sooner introducing whatever "OPN" is. This would all require some degree of testing of course.

Beagle (also known as Beaglerush) is a well known XCOM2 streamer, but he got lazy and sloth in the last few months, due to being cucked by his fat gf/wife over the past few years
>>166223598
One turn of free sprinting, then on the second I catch sight of a pod off the right side of the alleyway. Only two in it for some reason.
Am I supposed to be fighting mutons/advent mecs with tier 1 weapons or did I fuck up my research irreparably? LW2 obviously
>sending a Shinobi into a kill VIP mission by himselfRIP AND TEAR
>>166223842
>got lazy and sloth in the last few months
you mean years
>>166221320
Let's hope he finishes the other campaigns at one point.
>>166223770
Combining this with the big bad reinforcement timer it WOULD give you that sense of urgency or else you're going to get overwhelmed. Because the final tier in the schedule is the same amount of enemies the big bad one has.
>>166223880
Heavy explosives deal with them before they can fire on us, and the squad moves on.
>>166223896
You fucked up. You should have gone Modular Weapons into Alien Biotech to open up Laser Weapons after you get a scientist. Render Elerium Cores if you must to get the Elerium dust to be able to make the weapons, you probably won't get them from anywhere else unless you buy some from the black market.
>>166223896
Maybe a couple of missions but you should be researching laser by now
Unless you skipped it and went directly for magnetic, in which case good fucking luck
>>166224264
I FOUND THE REST.
>>166223770
Sorry, could you clarify whether the "after reveal" function for reinforcements could be readily adjusted to spawn reinforcements indefinitely, preferrably at a steadily increasing frequency of pod drops?
>>166224340
Fun fact, I haven't gotten a single fucking elirium core, but yeah I figured I fucked up
Missions are pretty difficult, but so far i've been able to deal with the mutons (suppression+flashbangs)
>>166224410
Waitmagnetic weapons aren't tier 2?
I'm about 10 days away from magnetic, about to go into my first retaliation, still on tier 1
Next Mission:

>>166224659
>>166224659
>>166224692
Mag is now tier 3. How the heck did you open up Mag and not see laser?
>>166224692
I'm pretty sure the tier progression is balistic<laser<magnetic<coil<plasma
For some reason you don't need elerium for that shit but you do for lasers
>>166215745
Never ever because Twitch doesn't like to save streams anymore
>>166225303
I'm guessing it was because of the diffculty of actually getting Elerium if you are short on supplies, the black market doesn't spawn them, you couldn't get to the debris in the Avenger that give you them, or you just couldn't get the cores to render them. So you hold out and try to rush for Mag instead, like you could do Gauss rush in LW1.
>>166218265
Looks like you don't know how the infiltration mechanic works. Look it up in game if you have too (XCOM archives).
>Rescue captured soldier mission
>Sneak into the prision
>Hack the door
>2 people inside: the captured soldier and a guerrilla member
>The soldier has no actions available on the turn i free him, but the guerrilla guy is fine
>Next turn he just disappear
>At the end of the mission it counts as lost
Truly magnificent
>>166218605
It's actually a character from the book I'm writing. It's a play on Everything Is Well
>>166227238
Nice, what's it about?
>tfw too much of a shitter at LW2 so resort to playing on veteran
