From my understanding I play songs like I normally would and earn tokens to then play the Event song? I then can use the points to get Sachiko (or I just automatically get it when I reach points like it did with Sanae), while I have to rank to get Koume?

Play any song to get tokens, those tokens are used to play the event song which is the main way of gaining points.

The way it is now is that you can get both cards as long as you hit 20k points, so there's no need to rank unless you want to.

ML could've easily, eeeasily get some of CG's players if they collabed with CG back when they're still new but they didn't. Remember this was the time when Bamco put all their might behind ML and they would have if cygames didn't have any say in it.

In fact, collab wise CG felt less related to imas franchise and more to the cygames world with numerous collabs with Baha and Granblue.

Event song seems kinda fucking easy. Never cleared Master+ before and did it with this one on first try. There are no really tough parts and it's pretty much just the last stretch of Tokimeki but repeated through most of the song. Is there a full version of this somewhere? The song somehow feels like it's even more neutered than the songs normally are.

And what's with the japs putting broken english into their songs? Lunatic Show isn't the biggest offender and Anya's image song still stays on top. I can't believe it's by accident since there's no way that no one mentioned it during the making of the songs. I'm from a country where english isn't the first or the second language but every song that's sung by native artists in english or that mixes in english words is usually pretty ok when it comes to grammar. Is it because they're not necessarily using english because it's appropriate and fits but because it sounds cool to them kinda like putting saffron into mac and cheese?

That isn't unique to english. I've only studied 5 languages but I would say with some confidence that there isn't a language on this planet that doesn't have ass backwards shit and irregularities in it. I've yet to study a language where the question "why is it like that?" relating to a grammar rule has been answered every single time with a proper answer insted of just a shrug and "just because" or one where there aren't rules with exceptions. A lot of the mistakes in the songs are stuff like missing articles and stuff like you're=/=your in Anya's song for example. Those aren't exactly high tier stuff or related to irregular rules and such and should be noticeable by anyone with an average understanding of english. I'm more surprised that the mistakes aren't related to the irregularities between written and spoken words since people who use a phonetic language as their native language usually have trouble with that understandably.
