What pisses me off the most about Zurvan EX pugs is that people rely entirely on being able to skip the first Soar sequence and Demon's Claw into Wave Cannon that they don't actually know the mechanics. They rely entirely on outgearing and being carried by their gear, where even if you join those groups you see five DPS and yet still know it's shit because the floor falls at 82% when four DPS should be having the floor fall at 79-80%. It's not too different from how people sucked shit at Ramuh EX entirely because they relied on Titan-egi tanking

The ABSOLUTE Fastest way is to do all of your dailies and every HW beast tribe every day. Collect those items from the BT's and turn them in when you can get the Unids.
After you do your Dalies and beast tribes you can do in a day, jump into PF and look for first time bonuses for Lore and poetics.

Start by collecting the Ore and the Shells. Then move onto Seeds and Bone. I did this every day for 3 weeks before it was nerfed. and then when I finished, they nerfed it.

Ninja is ultra latency based so you better have excellent internet at all times along with juggling your mudras that may or may not clip while keeping up multiple DoTs and buffs via 2 and a half combos (the poster that recommend it didn't even know they had a silence)
Bard is simple though but everyone and their mother is a damn bard.
Play Summoner as they handle DoTs, incredibly user friendly, pets are simple to learn each with four moves that you can set on your hotbar via actions and traits under pets, and have a pretty solid burst mechanic every minute for 15 seconds. Along with a raise and a reliable MP recovery system. It's hard to fuck up summoner. Also your book smacks are on paris with a PLDs auto attack.

PvP question because i don't really know anyone to ask on my friend's list

strictly speaking in frontlines, should I be using Diurnal or Nocturnal sects? I usually run nocturnal and have had great success despite the nerfs to the shield, as an instant cast damage absorb shield can save people from all sorts of situations like a melee LB

but I've also experimented a bit with diurnal and also found myself doing great with keeping people healthy, so i wasn't sure which was considered the "best" of the two if there even is one

What are you guys' tank recommendations? Is Dark Knight fun? People saying Paladin is boring, but I already invested 30 levels into my Gladiator. Tried leveling Marauder for some cross-class skills and it seems more fun.

also get your paladin to 34 since you get a good crossclass from it

Thanks, guys. I initially had the idea to go PLD. Took GLD up to 30, CJR up to 15. Then switched to MRD to get some cross skills and found it much more fun and engaging than GLD/PLD. Just can't help but feeling I wasted some time. Guess it really doesn't matter in the long run. Might just go WAR.

I think they worked DRK out pretty well for this game though. It would have been really annoying to keep healing a DPS who's constantly killing himself. The mana usage was a good idea and it works well. Though big guts DPS would have been the best.
If SAM does end up being a tank it will more than likely be Off tanky dps like WAR.

It's because you can't speed it up, you're just given waves. Whereas you'd pull them all together if you could, and build stacks/Blood of the Dragon on the way, in that section you're forced to handle them in waves including the two waves that just slowly drop down. It's just nice that you've got enough time to keep Greased Lightning from start to the vanguards at the end

I really hope they return to a 6:6:12 alliance composition for Return to Ivalice 24-man content.

They just need to do more creative shit that forces players to split up, even outside of their comfort zone (that is to say, not necessarily simply splitting into party A B C) and feature more mechanics that encourage (but not necessarily require, given how braindead a lot of DF tanks can be) things like Tank Swaps, distributing Adds to avoid being overwhelmed by stacking debuffs, etc.

The solution to the inevitable deluge of shitty folks so you don't have wipe after wipe after wipe? Start killing extremely weak contributors and very slightly debuff the boss so the adults can clean up after them. Actually, killing them isn't enough. Stupid Healers won't recognize dead weight and will waste time attempting to raise them. If somebody does less than a certain amount of DPS on bosses where they have no excuses, just straight up X-Zone them and let them watch then deduct from their tomestone rewards and bar them from rolling on loot until the next fight.
