And you don't have to completely gut a hero to balance them. Literally the only think that Ana contributes to the tank meta is the highest HPS rate in the game. You can afford to have high health heroes playing aggressively as it is, then add in 150hps (pre-nerf) and tanks basically become invincible.
I don't know how you've got it in your head that she does "too much" her DPS is one of the lowest for projectile weapons, and definitely the lowest for a scoped weapon. Of her 2 abilities 1 is completely healing orientated and not at all out of place, and her other is effectively a single person 5 second stun which is strong but not unbalanced. She isn't picked because of her sleep dart, she's picked for her insanely high HPS. Even nerfed she can still potentially give 110hps, Mercy, a dedicated healer can only do 60. Nerf Ana's healing and she's fine.

I said absolutely nothing about it being out of place. I said it does too fucking much. With one press of a button she insta-heals 100 HP AND gives 50% buffed healing from all sources for several seconds AND does damage to and prevents enemies from healing for the same amount of time. Name another character who does that much from one button press. The buffing and debuffing can be removed and given to another Support or an Offense character who specializes in buffing team heals and debuffing enemy heals, instant 100 HP AoE is powerful enough. She also doesn't need the Sleep Dart, the ability to completely shut down anyone and everyone on top of her insane healing is way too much. Give it to someone else and give her an ability to deploy a hide that she can sit in and be protected from attacks for a set amount of damage, which fits into her role as a sniper and gives her survivability without making her three characters in one.

Remove Pharah from the game. She's so fucking easy and carries nearly every game at lower ELO levels. Why would Blizz design a hero that has such a low skill ceiling that requires a decent amount of skill to deal with?

I get absolutely tilted at the amount of dmg she poops out every second. She's hard to hit if she moves erratically and has the potential to get so many environment kills from a billion yards away with no risk involved.

Making her the only char being able to fly is absolutely retarded. Make a hitscan hero that can fly to, so he's easily countered. Or nerf her vertical movement speed in the air.

And again, the only reason Ana's grenade is good is the heal buff and heal denial. The fact it heals and damages is completely irrelevant. She is only picked because of her HPS. It's as simple as that. If Ana had worse HPS than Mercy, she would barely see any tournament play at all regardless of her heal denial and sleep dart. i don't want that. A potential 91hps would still be the highest in the game, but it would dissolve tee tank meta which is what you keep complaining about to justify completely fucking gutting Ana

Sure but it has nothing to do with her character whatsoever, same way Genji has Bedouin, or Mei Yeti hunter, or Mercy imp, or Torbjorn the pirate. They don't necessarily relate to the character but they fit the silhouette and animations.

Symmetra could fit in a sidesplit dress because her default is close as hell to that already, Winston could be Sun Wukong because Mei loves him and drew the doodle of exactly that. Just played on Gilbraltar and the Pharah did nothing but stand at the top of the ship in the hanger and spam rockets at doors. And of course she's high up enough that nobody can actually hit her.

If by "carry" you mean, "hides in a corner and flies in shooting at the ground collecting splash damage and credit for kills the rest of the team did the damage for before retreating" then, yeah, she carries everybody.

She's in dire need of a nerf. 6 rockets is ridiculous. It should 3, 4 tops. Most heroes die within one or two shots, and not even direct ones. Nevermind if they're already hurt from actually fighting on the ground.

Really though, I think they need to slow down her refuel. Literally one second on the ground and she's back in the air. Make Pharah players think about when and where they rocket boost instead of just taking flight as a given.

It doesn't help that most every map is extremely Pharah friendly with big open skies. Not to mention there are no good counters to her. Now, there are counters, but no GOOD counters. You basically have to be a crack shot, or totally out in the open with no one shooting you in order to focus enough fire on her. If you're close enough to do significant damage, say with a 76 or even a D.Va, you're close enough to get a rocket in the face. Sym and Winston can barely reach her without her rocket boost. The only more than decent defense I've noticed is a Torb turret, but again, if it's shooting her, she knows where to shoot a couple rockets.

It's just gotten really annoying. I notice some of the biggest braggers are Pharah mains, as if it's hard to fly around enemy-less skies and shoot at the ground. Hardest thing they have to do is remember to hold the space bar. You can't call yourself a Pro Pharah unless you're landing direct body shots while dying 0 to 1 times.

tl;dr nerf the bitch, it takes no skill to get kills with her and it's hard as shit to kill her.

im currently leveling up through quickplay

im just wondering how im suppose to get better when people go characters like widow, hanzo and junkrat on my team and we lose the game right outside of the gate. i try to go tank or support when everyone wants to dps but its never enough because im a noob myself.

i usually end up being the only tank in the group and making pushes as best i can (even though my team doesnt back me up 80% of the time and we have no heals) or i'm solo support and struggling to keep people alive.

i guess what i want to know is if it gets any better after i do my placements and start doing competitive. or will people still choose weird compositions and i have to learn to work around it?
