And here I figured that golden rings are how energy from the Special Zone manifests in the real world, but only if the terrain was made akin to that place which is why Eggman sets up obstacle courses. To me it feels like new 252 never got a chance to come into its own. There was the initial baggage from just rebooting,and then they got saddled with that crossover which made the unleashed arc drag on for longer than it was meant to. Its obvious it was rushed towards the end as well. Even recently there was the stuff they had to do for the anniversary. I was looking forward to seeing what Ian and the crew came up with now that there wasn't going to be so much stuff in the way.

Yeah, we got a lot of the basic set up/establishment out of the way. From there you know more shit was going to come to a head with Cassia/Clove, Eclipse, Snively's plotting, Bunnie was about to get a story addressing the breadcrumbs that'd be laid so far, and considering the Chaotix arc finally revealed things hinted at way back in Waves of Change and Champions....plus all the weird ruins/temples stuff that was brought up (and started in Shattered, but even then Naugus was way back in 252)...this was all obviously being used to build towards something bigger overall, they had plans going. Having it all get pulled out from under them must really, really suck.

You either meet artists, writers, editors etc at cons or email them, express interest, and show them a curated portfolio. They give you feedback and you keep optioning portfolios until you either land a book or an editor who liked you (or was reccomended you by an artist or writer) contacts you with an offer.

At least, that's how company-property and licensed stuff like DC, Marvel and Archie goes.

That wasn't me. My thoughts and understanding of the Rings are that they generate a time-dimensional space linking every ring together as well as forming a link with the Emerald Altar on Angel Island. This time-dimensional space is the Special Zone.

Ring Energy and Chaos Energy are very similar and closely connected to each other. The Special Zone is often used to house/guard/protect the Chaos Emeralds, 50+ rings is used to either access the Special Zone (through a giant ring, usually) or access the true power of the 7 Chaos Emeralds, and the power of special rings can even be used to summon the Master Emerald.

This comes from what we know from the Genesis Games, mainly Sonic 3 and Knuckles, as well as the Japanese Instruction Manual for Knuckles' Chaotix.

And, of course, I theorize that Tails is the embodiment of it, hence his fur becoming bright yellow, the possibility he may be a kitsune, his "immortality" ( we know that Ring Energy can grant life-sustaning protection and even another chance at life), and stuff like that.

Yeah, those guys we're my life just as much as the Sonicgames, despite the over-representation of them at times. And I wanted to see how Ian and the others we're going to take them further as well as give the other game characters even more spotlight in the 252verse.
But if it's true, it's just terrible to see go after all these years and the stories that could've been from the setups made out from them.
