Wait, so one thing I'm wondering with Mesa's shields now. Is it better to drop Vitality and go for Redirection and a shield +recharge rate mod instead? With 95% damage reduction her shield EHP should be competing with the health EHP of other tankframes, yet shields can regenerate quickly unlike health. It seems like it could be a decent tradeoff to be even more invulnerable against enemies that can't keep pace at the risk of being weaker against toxin and those grappling hooks that bypass shields.

Not bad but Vile Acceleration and Firestorm are almost too good to pass up. VA will bump you over 100% status chance, which should mean guaranteed gas procs every second, perfect for spore poppin'. Firestorm makes the cone of effect bigger for ignis as far as I can tell, essentially just decreasing the accuracy. Combine it with Heavy Caliber and you'll be gas proccing literally everything on screen with each puff from it.

It really depends on what you're using the Ignis for. Objectively its best use is with a Spore Saryn because it lets you Viral proc literally every enemy in the map for the duration of the mission with a single button press. If you're using it as an all-purpose weapon with all frames you're gonna have a not-great time with enemies even before you get out of DEAC. I'd guess that blast/corrosive would be most useful for that purpose since you essentially become a CC/debuffer but don't expect to ever be doing the best damage on a team with it. VA is good even outside the Saryn use though, definitely get it ASAP. With 100% proc chance on it you can become a CC wizard with whatever elements you have on it. Would recommend either sticking with Blast/Corrosive for maximum fun or maybe even switching it up to Viral/Radiation for slightly less fun but potentially more useful depending on the enemies and their level.

What secondary weapon should I build? I have a lot of melee and primary, but secondaries have been mostly neglected other than my kulstar that I only really pull out for Akkad and Hieracon nowadays.

I think you might be missing my point here. I'm saying that there's no point spending my traces on the relics with obscure drops because:
1. Finding radshares is going to be a pain and spending traces on relics you use outside of one is silly
2. The items of the same rarity from a different relic are worth more than what I wanted

In this specific example, I wanted to get a fragor. Something to note is that the Fragor Blueprint comes from a Meso rare, as does the Valkyr Prime systems. Fragor Prime BP is barely even worth 20p, meanwhile Valkyr systems sells for 50p+. It doesn't make any sense at all to spend the same amount of void traces on the Fragor relic when no one really runs it and it's not even worth half as much as the Valkyr relic. Selling that one Valkyr Systems I got for 55p gave me enough plat to buy an entire fragor set and still come out of it 15p richer than I was before for the exact same amount of void traces I would have spent on the fragor relic.
