Just bought this for $20, been playing for 4 hours and this game is a fucking chaotic mess where you never know what's happening.
Titans are fucking useless against other titans and is a match to see which one has lower cooldowns.
And even if you ''le go le fast of epicness'' that doesn't give you any advantage because camping and picking off enemies is much easier.

Softball is one of the strongest weapons because you only need one good shot and you don't have to stand in the same spot or even participate in combat for the entire ttk.

I called in my Northstar in a match yesterday but got killed before it dropped. I respawned on the far side of the map and died trying to reach my titan because there were four enemy titans between me and it. So next respawn I just stayed put and set it to follow. It got a titan kill on the way and still had 2/3 health when it reached me.

The deal with grapple is that it isn't actually "two" hooks -- it's one long meter, that needs a half-charge to use. Letting it fully retract uses a full half of the meter, and so releasing the hook early to use less meter is an essential part of grapple use.

And I cannot see how halving the grapple meter is anywhere near as needed as reducing phase shift charges. Grappling makes you MORE vulnerable at the start, while phase shifting makes you completely untouchable, instantly, for several seconds.

for me it's never a "second use" because, again, if you're letting your grapple fully retract and use up a "use" you're doing it wrong. Grapple is best used in constant little midair corrections and brief whips around corners that only use maybe a fifth or sixth of your meter at a time.

Direct hits with the Thunderbolt are pretty damn underwhelming, but it's all about that radiant damage it does. I try not to actually hit a single Titan, but try to get the bolt to pass through multiple enemy Titans. It may not seem much, but that radiant chip damage is god damn annoying as fuck for anyone.

I really fucking wish the Archer had more ways to control it. In addition to the normal lock-on mode, you can make it into a slow moving tracking rocket akin to Salvo Core missiles, or make it dumbfire.

Battle of Fracture would have at least been 5 years ago at minimum. That puts two years of development for the Vanguard chassis as well. So Cooper is a 5~6 year veteran grunt, not too shabby considering how they make out grunts to be pushovers. And from what I remember about the dialogue between Cooper and Lastimosa, they've been training for at least a month or two. Not too far fetched for Cooper to catch onto Piloting skills, considering the military drills skills into you to the point that they're muscle reflexes.
