You should really sell some of those for easy money and to cut down on useless charms.
Put them into Athena's ASS charm list, and it'll auto grey out ones that are strict downgrades of others - like if you put in a Blunt +3 00- and a Blunt +4 00- the first one will grey out because it's objectively worse, and that lets you know what charms you can sell.

It's also good to filter through your charms at the end of every Sakura run, instead of waiting to do them all at once at a later time.

For succ, either have them learn exactly when in the attack to superman, or have them all get on a ballista, or keep attacking and hope to flinch it (shooting it with ballista also flinches it, and there's at least 3 spots in the area to scrounge up more ballista ammo)
For water lasers, just gotta keep moving erratically and Amatsu won't be able to get a straight shot. It always shoots either in a straight line away from itself at a hunter, or in a left to right or right to left line at a hunter.
For Super water lasers, just gotta run around and pray, or hope you can get 2 ballista that can aim upward enough to get 2 one-shot binders onto it to bring it down.

Nah announcing a new MH won't affect mainline sales. MH3 was announced a year before FU and that game was like the second best selling MH. When he comes back in G he rockets into prominence again because some of his armor gems come with the skill Obscurity, which increases attack based on how many times you block attacks without getting hit by a heavy knockdown.
But of course, at that time you've got more than enough power to match him.

Well, for the reasoning, there really wasn't much at the time. At that point I was still pretty lost with how most features work, and I pretty much just wanted to see how the Adaptation skill worked and then ran with the set.

As for the slots, Gou sets are were you start to see explosive slot growth as they go up, with most getting 3 slots per piece.
Also can't forget that Gou armors boost skill levels up by one, so you'd only have to gem into Evade+1 to get the effects of +2.

Depends on the rank of armor as well as how many pieces are equipped.

If I remember correctly you can upgrade it at least to the rank where the boost becomes permanent without having to suffer through HC grind hell.
And since you're butting up right near the HR restructure time it's very important you don't suffer through that hell since after JP did it all non-G armors upgraded through spheres instead of parts.

Including the Gou ranks where you had to use 4 HC carves per piece.

Look through the camera controls, go on an easy hunt to test each option, and find a combo that works for you.
I manage to work the nub easily when I need to, but I tend to just tap the L button to center the camera on the monster if there is one, or behind my hunter if there isn't. When gunning, I tend to use the first person shooting with R, even though they fucked up the aiming and made the camera not the end of the barrel this go around.

also, I hope you're having fun an all, but capcom just ripped you off hard. XX is a definitive version of this game with 66% extra content coming in march, with an english version some time later. You probably should have started with 3U or 4U from a purely bang-for-your-buck standpoint
