Well, they mentioned in the presentation that the touch screen uses "haptic touch", so it's more or less in line with current tablets. All they need to do is release a stylus that can be used with it and boom, you got a $300, 6-inch cintiq that plays your favorite squid/kid vidya.

It doesn't work like that. Capacitive screens are trash for drawing. The only exception I've ever got to use was the Shield tablet that even kinda sorta did pressure sensitivity and palm recognition without a separate digitizer, though, just through some fancy software, so that part of Nvidia tech may've migrated to Switch.

I was thinking if Spyke comes back/we get a Not-Spyke, it would be neat if there were increased chances of getting certain abilities each day. So like one day there could be increased chances of rolling damage ups, next day could be quick super jump, etc. So that stacked with the increased chances on brands would give you a huge chance of getting it, and a potentially more realistic chance of triples on off-brand clothing.

All squids must have a weapon, sub, and a special, and they have 5 points to spend and can't exceed that (they can spend less than five if they want). Weapons/sub-wepons/specials are ranked 1-3

So if you have a rank 3 weapon, you can only have a rank 1 sub and a rank 1 special because it equals up to five. Or a rank 2 weapon, a rank 1 sub, and a rank 2 special. Etc.

That could work if Nintendo frequently updates the tiers based one people are using/abusing. If shit gets too intense then raise the cost of the loadout so that it can't be used together, at the same time, lower the cost of things that aren't seeing play.

I really want more visual distinction between all weapon kits, a la Dynamo and Aerospray. Like, regular Splattershot is green, Tentatek is pink, Wasabi is Octoshot. Or the Nozzle-Ds become yellow.

The content's good. I really like gyro aiming. I really like aiming in general. Nothing at all like a stick. I imagine it'll be a lot cooler this time around because of the gyro being built into the controllers this time rather than having to handle a tablet.

It's pretty ideal as a "fast fun" shooter. The weapons, shooting feedback and inking make the point and shoot part really satisfying, the movement mechanics pretty much eliminate any trudging to reach the action, and it's balanced well enough that at the very least you can contribute to a win, and at best you can single-handedly carry.

Basically the only time it's not fun is when you're getting stomped, and that just makes you want to win again.

Like:
Boomerang: Extra curve on punches, extra knockback on curved punches
Revolver: Fires three shots in succession
Trident: Fires a spread of three weaker shots
Sparky: Charged punches stun opponents

If they all had scopes and either a bit less range or levels were larger they'd be better balanced as well. Of course I'm pretty sure whatever cheating program homebrew users have for the game includes an aimbot, because I've seen several japs that will consistently snap directly to a player like 90 degrees and oneshot them using the 3k scoped, which is highly unlikely to be legit for several reasons, let alone so frequently. Maybe it's just lag though :^)
