The problem with nostalgiafags is that they don't realize that the problems with legion are literally the result of blizzard trying to cram the shitty korean rng loot system from vanilla back into wow. Only now it's been merged with diablo so we don't fight anymore.

desu cata wasn't bad either, feature wise. The story just blew donkey cock and the presentation was awful so the game felt boring and people left.
For MoP the game was great story wise and presented well but the features were stupid, they brought back the need for rep grinding, which was awful and a whole mess of other shitty little things from older wow that just made the game flat out inconvenient.
In WoD you had the worst of both worlds really.
But perhaps the biggest crime blizzard comitted was taking away flying. It should just be buy able like in bc or wrath. Navigating through blizzard's autistic suramar terrain to get ancient shekels is a pain in the ass. And frankly, I don't even mind the pathfinder achievement that much. If it ACTUALLY GAVE FLYING. But no, there's a part 2 and all I have is a shitty speed boost.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Wotlk
It prooved that the social aspect of the game didn't necessarely had to go, when a feature like LFD/LFG was made
Along with Vanilla, I felt the community as a whole was brilliant (during wotlk)
However, it did pave the road for LFR, the whole first tier of raiding was a joke
Ulduar was amazing because of its Hard modes (something they should've sticked with, rather than making Mythic difficulty raids)
.. Then came the daily grind hub disguised as a circus, hated it

Cata was better gameplay wise, lore sucked ass indeed
The last tier (DS), was horrible in every single aspect too (legendary, trinkets, encounters)

The no flying bit annoys me too - its taking too long for its implementation
Suramar, and the other zones (bar Highmountain), was amazing running through for the first 1-2 months

I raid a lot too. But I just really enjoy pvp. How much I do either one actually varies a lot on the expansion, in wrath and cata I almost exclusively raided, in WoD it was almost exclusively pvp.
Now in legion I do a lot of both.
So, I run raids and mythics with my guild but I just prefer pvp.
