Ultimately if you're not enjoying the game maybe taking a break is the best option.
I will say though, making some friends to play with, even just with anons here, makes the game a lot more enjoyable, playing solo always burnt me out on the game. It also helped me to get better too, especially playing with some of the better players. I don't know if there's some reason you play solo, but finally deciding to try to play with /wowsg/ at least instead of just keeping to myself was probably the best decision I ever made in my time with this game, so maybe it's worth giving a shot.

You don't have to join a discord or anything, you don't really need voice coms either, though there's the ingame system but I've never used it so I can't say if it's any good.
You can just join the in game chat, that's what I did. If you don't want to try to start a div, just watch out for other people saying they have spots open at tiers you're looking for and ask to join them.
For the most part nobody is really that elitist, if you're just trying to improve and you're not unpleasant to play with (stuff like raging all the time or blaming everyone else for everything) most anons here seem like they're okay with overlooking not being the best player.
