Actually the problem I'm having with Laos right now is that the way NNM handles the tags, there are two "Laotian" tags. One being Prabang, which has the decision to turn into the other tag, Lan Xang. But apparently, historically, Lan Xang existed before Prabang, and before the game starts.
Honestly I have no idea why they couldn't just use one tag for Laos, so I was waiting for HPM to manifest himself to ask him the logic behind that, or to just get rid of Lan Xang.

It's all decimal, so immigration_attraction = 1 means 100% more immigration attraction, and .05 is 5% etc.

So for republican flag you can use either the old Lares revolutionary flag from one of the many revolts in the 1800s or the light blue variant to differentiate from Cuba a bit, unfortunately I have no idea for what to use for a communist flag as Puerto Rico never had an actual communist party with symbols, just one party thats part of Socialist International but their flag is a Nordic cross so that's probably a no-go.

I think the sticky is incorrect, HPM has been using, or at least been perfectly compatible with, 3.04 for quite some time.

Imo, this dlc is very unnecessary, and directly affects the game's sandbox nature. Will probably skip it.

HOIIV, trying to re-purpose guided missiles for something that would require them to be used for combat support (like tactical bombers or CAS). However, I can't seem to get it working. So I've been playing the opening stages of the China AAR in HoI3 and I've discovered a problem: the Japanese forces aren't assigning any generals anywhere. It's still rough going for my guys, but at this rate I'll probably be able to win just on the basis of overwhelming numbers and gradually more and more experienced generals, while they continue to fail to assign any.

So my question is this: should I continue with this campaign anyway, scrap it and just play vanilla without this fucking meme vanilla-plus mod, or throw a new poll up and give it a second shot for something different? Open to all suggestions.

There's not really an option to post as I play right now. I could wait to do the AAR at all until I have more free time over the summer, but there's no guarantee that I'll have the kind of free time it takes to do these things even.

It is 6 years old, it recently received a beta patch of sorts which I believe is related to an upcoming WitE2. There is a more recent War in the West, which is more about strategical bombing and managing planes with far less focus on land combat. It does have land combat, but just like IRL there won't be much of it in the west until quite late. WitW starts in 1943, so the only real land combat you will be experiencing in the first bunch of turns is an invasion of Sicily.
Then there is War in the Pacific, which covers the entire pacific campaign, this is the most popular game in the series to date, and will be easiest to find human players to play against (although all of them have more than enough players to find opponents). WitP is very much about managing fleets and fleets, a cat and mouse of finding and destroying fleet elements/taskforce of the opponent trying to find openings for island invasions. A notable difference is that WitP turns are done in days, whereas WitE has turns that cover a week.

All three can be gotten from matrixgaming, WitE is also available on steam. If you decide to get WitP be sure to get the admiral's edition, it is the best one and most played.

The downside to all this good stuff is that the pricetag is set a fairly hefty ~70 dollars last time I checked.
