the taller you are the more you can carry and resist being staggered/ knocked down. your arms are bigger so your sword reaches longer; arm length affects your weapons hitboxes.

if you can get your gear dragon forged you can put up a fight in BBI and get a strong weapon then rinse repeat.

Your level is fine and the dragon weapon is good enough. If you want a slightly better weapon or a good weapon for a different class you can go to the shops in the everfall. It's recommended to do each chamber of the postdragon everfall once before going to bbi because there are a lot of good fights in there but they're a joke after you get bbi gear.

I just did this and the pawn I hired repeatedly said that it was weak to ice while enchanting my ice weapon with fire even though the pawn had ice affinity. I have not payed this in about a year, but the pawns seem much worse this time around.

I think you're talking about the Gazer.

I did BBI at around I think 55. I might have been 60 by the time I reached Gazer. Its really the petrifaction thats nasty. If you are a melee class, I usually didn't try climbing onto its actual eye because the fall. After a while it falls on the ground and it's eye comes out. Its worth noting that the petrifacation only works if you look at it when it hits you so you can just turn your back to it.

That's why you only ever bring 1 affinity. Pawns aren't smart enough to enchant with a weakness that will work on the group of enemies as a whole, instead you might get a fire enchant while fighting hellhounds because that undead enemy nearby is weak against fire.

Like most of the shit in that GDC presentation, it was cut early on. Everything else got shuffled around and downsized. The waycastle bridge was supposed to be bigger and have a bossfight on it for one

I need to go look through the minimap textures one of these days, maybe there are remnants of unused areas in there or parts of the minimaps you won't see in normal gameplay (like the entire back half of Grigori's room). Should also see if the actual map geometry is importable into max like the rest of the game's models are.

There aren't any unused enemies though, already looked and everyone is accounted for. Nothing new there.

From what I read, if I understood correctly, if you like climbing and /gotta go fast/, you go with a tiny guy. If you wanna get into their face and tank shit, you build yourself a giant.

After sinew the weight limit becomes a nonissue and I can always push my shit onto other pawns. Some people care about muh fashion when hiring pawns, but how about the size? Currently my pawn is the biggest male, should that be changed in hopes of getting more hires or?

I'm doing a new game on hard on PC, but I used to be in this general alot a few years back for 360. There seems to be a lot of love for Red pawns now, which is nice, but strider is an amazing class.

Are you prone to hiring full BBI geared pawns or cool looking pawns who goldforge their outfits? I'm a little insecure about this, pawn looks cool and I have 100% Sleep/poison/slow resistance but can't petrification high up and instead of running oblivion gear I just have a nice fitting outfit

Sleep and petrify resists are the only two I consider must-haves for BBI pawns because those are the two which will perma-kill pawns in BBI. Even then, I usually skip Death and have a Sorc with Voidspell so those resists aren't outright deal-breakers.

Other resists vary on vocation, but the more the better obviously.

The biggest influencer on my hiring is if it seems the player has their act together. Good skills and inclinations are the first things I check on a pawn.

Playing around with the character designer on a Family Sharing account. I tried making a negro waifu (I have jungle fever, pls don't judge; might make her skin a tad lighter though) and a gentleman suitable for making into a knight.

Personally I found that charging focused bolts not only gets boring, but its not as strong as people make it out to be.

If you're on BBI, you should be running Ice, Lighting, and Light elements, right? So use high frigor, and high levin for offense.

Also, you can still use Spellscreen / Anondyne offensively. If you don't care about damage, you can use a rusted staff and induce torpor too, which is pretty fucking tight if you build your pawn properly. Especially in BBI.

I guess you can buff yourself and allies with Holy, then used focused bolt, but I think its a bit overrated, and gets boring eventually. Besides as mage, you're more of a babysitter who can shoot lightning instead of an offensive mage.

However its entirely possible to play solo with just you and your pawn and hire other pawns along the way. One of the most famous old pawns of legend was Dante, and he was a warrior who did all sorts of crazy shit. So like the post I replied to before yours, you can try to train your pawn by playing the same class as them. It creates more bro moments + you get to learn new classes if you haven't tried them before.

Personally though, on Warrior pawns, I run exodus, corona, and savage lunge. Any charging skills like Arc of Might are hard to teach pawns in my experience.

You can tell them to stay back or to stop what they're doing and attack or help you stun a monster, enchant and use skills of certain attributes, make mages focus on recovery, and cancel your previous orders at any time. Its a no export mmo that's butchered the artstyle of the original, removed some monsters ais and simplified them in all but the highest leveled versions, and added a bunch of grind mechanics, and there's no way to pay to win through them. You'll have to grind, and there is a lot to grind for.

Beyond that though I think it has a respectable story and the improved gameplay and reworked classes are enough to put it above DDDA for me easily although coop makes blasting through some monsters a lot easier

It's subversive and not necessarily bad, although the golem is a bad fight imo but mostly due to the fact that the disks are often obscured by the world geometry when it tumbles around, if that wasn't an issue and wizards did just a little more dmg to the weak spots with magic buffet it'd be great

I use attacks like Halfmoon, Skull Splitter, and jumping light attack (as Warrior) on Golems because you don't really have to aim. Moves with aoe or big hitboxes help alot against those stoners

I run Corona, Exodus, and Arc for myself, but I wish I could run Savage Lunge, Warcry, and maybe Whirlwind, as well as the other prior 3 listed.

But I am content with the 3 I already run because the other 3 are not as useful, except arguably Savage Lunge.

I'm trying to sell wakestones for cash but the shops seem to have a sell limit, 6 wakestones. They won't let me sell more...what do?

Best I can tell without actually trying to mod the game, is that weapons are hard-coded to use so many skill slots. Archistaves and staves are 6, rest are 3. Longswords/Warhammers are unique in that they are used by one class for both weapon slots but only claim 6 skills. The skill # can't be changed, but because LS/WH only uses 3 skills you can slap on a Shield/MShield/Bow and treat it like a Sword/Mace/Daggers.
