Unlike Soldier and Reaper who have a 1 star difficulty, Sombra is a 3 star. She takes a lot more skill and focus. You have to hack health packs, know the ins and outs of every map, communicate with your team effectively, and master her spray pattern in order to be a positive contributor on your team.

Nobody is forcing you to play a high skill character though, stick with Soldier if you want to keep playing characters for chowderheads.

I play Sombra on some maps on attack, masters. I gather ult faster than any other character so I can just jump in the middle of the enemy team for a quick ult leaving them with no shields/matrix/nade/hook so my team just walks in and mops the floor with them.

I wonder if there are people that genuinely think that Sombra is a good character that people haven't figured out because they are shitters.

The bottom line for Sombra is whatever she does other characters can do better and easier. Every argument for why Sombra is a good character revolves around the idea that the person playing her has to be perfect and beyond amazing to make her a functional pick.

The thing is though if you can turn Sombra into a viable pick through your skill alone you could absolutely shut down the enemy team BY YOURSELF as Tracer or 76 or McCree because of the obvious skill difference between your team and theirs. It's doing more work for far less results.

D.Va walks up to me and right clicks. Generally unless I can break the mech and the Rein shield it's hard to do work with the aimbot, but once their defenses go down I can clean up even without an Ana ult.

For the record that frustrated response goes double for Ana, because if there isn't a giant yellow beam to follow people seem even less capable of realizing why the tank refuses to die. For some reason though Ana's are easier to catch out of position and kill, I think since they have to think to do work they lose track of position and area awareness more often.

Zen would be fine if Ana wasn't the best DPS support and the best HPS support; since DPS support is supposed to be Zen's thing. Similarly, HPS is meant to be Mercy's thing.
Give Ana a hit to her damage and HPS. Either 50 Damage per shot, or have her damage per shot be extended over a much longer duration (like 10 seconds). Reduce her heal per shot to 50~60ish. This way, her heal buff makes her the best healer in the game on that target, but would be more effective on a mercy since she heals at 70HPS (which is now the best in the game).
The only way Lucio won't be mandatory is if another character gets a speed boost, which they won't. Perhaps reducing the radius of his aura would make him a more situational pick.

Also, both Ana and Lucio need to have it be more obvious when they're healing somebody. Compare the small particle effects of their healing to Mercy's beam and Zen's orbs.
