It really makes the Hanzo team out to be extremely fucking weak, which shouldn't be the case in SV at least. In Burst it was a lot more believable because Kiriya had them beating up school bullies which did little to prepare them for when Crimson came in and slapped their shit sideways (Except for Mirai). The anime had a lot of fun original original scenes, but it suffers from serious pointless rewrite issues and they layed on the fanservice REALLY thick compared to the actual games.

I personally recommend it for the same reason I recommend BA, it's fun supplementary content that just shouldn't be taken seriously when it tries to take itself seriously. Don't watch it until you've played burst and remember that any time something contradictory happens, burst's canon takes precedence.

I completely agree. Logically if anything Gessen should have been on the receiving end of the beat down. Hanzo went through some rough training (Or so we're told) in Burst to get good enough to beat Crimson. At the very least Asuka and Yagyuu should have completely stomped Yumi and Shiki respectively. Yagyuu because she's a supposed ninja prodigy (Which they actually followed through with when Mirai first fought her) and Asuka because she took on Orochi alone. Granted, it was a fully powered Orochi, but the fact that she took it down by herself mostly and LIVED is extremely telling of her abilities.

Yeah, the school that's had its elite class personally trained by 2 legendary Shinobi (Kurokage and Hanzo) is going to be stronger than the school trained by a lesser tier of Shinobi like Kiriya or Rin.

The weird thing is that in New Hebijo's storyline New Hebijo is so much stronger than every other school and they literally kill off everyone else and burn down Gessen, but in Hanzo, Crimson, and Gessen's stories, new Hebijo is pathetically weak.
